It is a very nice detail to show the Tourist class on the cards, very good job to the team. (Tho I just realised that the Tourist class is always the last class revealed, but is still pretty nice)
In the same way Yesterday I said that the Warlock cards are not that useful for Rogue, this card is like too much obviously for Rogue. I guess you can steal use it on Warlock for like, I don't know, Maybe you want to play Hakkar, the Soulflayer.
Tho since this replace your Burglar cards payoff, then other than Spectral Cutlass is not that usefull. Is kinda a Renounce Darkness for Rogue. But kinda worst, cause I would say that random Warlock cards out of context it's kinda the worst thing you can get. You could get a bunch of selfdamage cards, an non Selfdamage synergies.
<3 I'm glad you like it!
You're also able to look at the artwork inside the popcard when you click on the images.
I think I made quite a big progress since Titans (the first version of the popcard).
Best HS site period!!
Can someone help me understand this a bit....
So, this is a warlock card, that replaces all of your neutral/tourist DK cards with new ones that cost 1 less.
What exactly is your hero power getting replaced with if you are a warlock? And does it cost one less like I'd assume based on card text? I guess if nothing else this is a decent card for the class that gets warlock cards as tourist, but just wanted to be sure if I was understanding it correctly.
Thanks in advance!
I hate it because its just a dual-class card that only has application in one class over the other.
I mean, in Warlock if your deck is mostly Warlock cards (which is usually the case), it basically just reduces the cost of your hero power to 1. That's not bad at all.
I mean. It really does? Other than Spectral Cutlass looks even less useful for Rogue than for Warlock. (Or not useless but a meme).
Like you play this thinking "Oh, boy, my Tess Greymane is going to go WILD" and turns Tess into Disciple of Sargeras, so the only thing you have to win the game is a fancy sword and a bunch of random cards.
Looks like a Rogue rather than a Warlock card. Is it an attraction specifically designed for the Tourist?
is this Ozzy Osbourne
The life tap is gonna cost 1 mana too?
I normally would say no, because it looks like is mirroring Renounce Darkness, and that card only reduced the cards.
But Renounce explicity say "The cards cost (1) less." In any other game that would means that in this case Life Tap would also cost 1-less. But this is Hearthstone, so you kinda need to wait till confirmation to actually do it.
I hope so, it would make the card more interesting, would be dope in Even Warlock. (As long you don't like winning) (EDIT: Is probably not going to work with Genn Greymane cause the card is going to replace your Warlock Hero Power for another Warlock Hero Power and reduce it cost by 1. So it would never cost (0). Which is kinda counterintuitive having in mind they just added Genn and Baku to standard for some reason and a lot of new players don't know how the card totally works)
So the object of the verb "replace" is "your hero power and non-warlock cards," and this is followed by the prepositional phrase "with warlock ones." Warlock whats? Warlock versions of the object of that verb, the things which are replaced (your hero power and non warlock cards). It can't mean just the cards or else you'd be replacing the hero power with something unspecified.
The next sentence has an anaphoric pronoun, they, which refers back to a noun or noun phrase in the previous sentence. I'm not sure it would be technically wrong for this "them" to refer to only 1 of the 2 objects of the verb but it should be rewritten if that's what they intended for it to mean. The obvious meaning is that it refers to the "ones" (hero power and cards). I think on balance the other reading probably is wrong.
Not 100% sure it'll work like I think but the only place I've seen grammar that bad (and worse) in Hearthstone was in Mercenaries.
I believe your hero power will cost 1 less.
And if I'm wrong I will be writing a grammatically correct letter.
I mean, yeah, grammatically it obviously refers to the Hero Power too. But this is HS, you have cards like Shadow Word: Steal that grammatically have no sense.
A part of me that grown up playing this games, wants to believe that they are not that incompetent, and the card works that way. But another part of me that grown up playing this game knows they are that incompetent, so you can't actually be 100% sure until you play the card and see how it was programmed.
Very few people noticed this but Elemental Inspiration was changed, cause it originally read as "Summon a 4/5 Vortex with a random bonus effect for each spell school you have cast this game." and it was actually impossible to know if summoned multiple 4/5s with a Random Keyword or one 4/5 with Multiple Keywords.
Unleash Fel. But I don't want to damage only the enemies that have lifesteal!
Look at what they have done to my boy (Renounce Darkness).
Do... do you run this in Spectral Cutlass? What if you do? I think you might.
Get more cards that upgrade your Cutlass, get mana discount on them, and get a Hero Power you can actually use instead of the useless one you otherwise have. Yeah I think that's a pretty solid include for the archetype.
