Handbuff Paladin dodges another nerf.
Why cant they just release the patch notes? It's coming this week. I dislike the teasing
reno to 10mana
virus module to 4 mana
and celestial to 3 mana. there.
Who is the last one in bg nerfs?
Im kind of tired of these teaser balance changes - just give us the nerfs and buffs right away instead of teasing them. It aint a teaser for a new game or movie.
Yeah, games finished on turn 6 by broken pala BS even after nerfs, but turn 9 reno is the problem with with this game. It is totally beyond me how this team can be so retarded. Also the fucking retarded announcements of announcements after 1 month of bullshit meta is absolutely infuriating.
They probably will remove elusive from the Virus Module.
Oh no, what are they going to do with Reno?
Have golden card(s) for all 3 nerfs, free dust! (unless nerf doesn't do much)
Darkglare with The Demon Seed NEEDS a nerf. Too much mana cheat too soon with no downsides.
Darkglare is legit the worst version of the deck
Yeah. I stopped using it in my deck and added some of the fatigue package cards, it deals better with agro. Darkglare was often a dead draw post-Tamsin.
pain warlock is bonkers rn in standard they nerfing celestial projectionist lol
No paladin cancer nerf, really? Someone pass dev team winrate stats please.
I feel like some of the current problems with Zilliax could be fix if they just got rid of the mech tag. Which I know goes against the character but think about it, no more resurrections from Dr. Boom, no more magnetic sparks from Rogue, etc.
I'm way out from standard to even understand why those cards are nerfed. Specially Celestial Projectionist, which I really like as a card, and it always feel balanced to me, but I guess it has to do with Giant shenanigans, which is a shame. If they make it a 3-cost I think the card is going to lose a lot of value (plus if is a Giant-like problem is not going to even affect it) But I don't know what is the strong combo with that card. I feel it's quite an honest card.
And I'm not the biggest fan of another Reno nerf, but if I have to guess, they probably are going to make the effect symmetrical, which was the most requested thing about that card when people asked for a nerf. And I think that's okay? I mean, for what I can recall 9 out of 10 times my opponent played Reno against me, they did it on an empty board. Tho the really huge change is on the boardlock effect. If last until the end of your turn, then is not going to be a problem at all, cause usually Reno is the only card you play that turn, but if on your next turn you also can only play 1 minion, that would be massive, and I don't think they do it.
Plague of Death was a 9 mana silencing boardwipe and is symmetrical.
Twisted Nether at 8 mana wipes both boards without bypassing deathrattles and that's also symmetrical.
A one-sided board wipe is already worth at least 10 mana, and that's before the board limit, removal of locations, silencing, and upgraded hero power. Reno is a crazy strong card.
Yeah. I don't say is not strong. But You are comparing cards that you can run 2 copies and that don't have as a condition that you have to remove half of the best cards in your deck and dilute it with inferior replacements. Reno is intentionally strong cause you need a reason to play a Highlander deck. I don't know if the rest of the Highlander cards on standard are good enough to commit that much.
But I'm okay with the effect being symmetrical. What I think that shouldn't be symmetrical is the boardlock. That feels like pushing the nerf a little too much for me. Is like if your opponent played Reno to you, but you also spent 9 Mana for that.
YES. Please just delete reno. It's the worst mechanic they've ever put into the game. This meta is currently awful and more than 2/3 of my matches are vs reno decks. I hate reno decks, I always have. It's the most boring deck building restriction. Idk why people think it's cool or wacky. All it is is legendary spam + every removal and card draw you have access to and then running the highest performing neutral tech cards to finish off your deck. OH BOY, instead of running 2 copies of Aftershocks, you might run a Gnomelia, S.A.F.E. Pilot! Really taking a walk on the wild side there! People actually believe you're even making sacrifices by going reno when the entire meta has been revolved around who draws their over-tuned titan first for the past year. The only thing you sacrifice is fun by going reno because there's only 1 way to build a reno deck per class and you always just end up making the same boring tier-w***e deck of the 30 highest winrate cards.
Given the flavor or "Looking for a standoff? Careful, it's against me!" I'd think it would make sense - and still be strong - if the board limitation were symmetrical. That would still be worth 9 mana, especially given that it bypasses deathrattles (another option would be to kill rather than vanish enemy minions so they DO get their deathrattle effects).
