Lets hope for some proper counters the game lacks a card like Steamcleaner would also be nice with a new type of Smothering Staffish to target overextended boards with DR's. Tbh best would be just to drag those two into the Standard pool to begun with.

Well fixing the meta with mini set cards woule be an easier approach then nerf/buff things.

But i don't have to much hope. 

Maybe the workshop is actually located in the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan and either the workshop is exploding outwards or the street thugs are exploding into the building.

dr boom? ok im getting real tired of reno, dr boom, and their pals coming back every few expansion. can we have new character to focus on?

I honestly thought it was going to be Old Gods again because of the Zeddy rumor vid.

Dr.Boom is already in this set. The Mini-Sets are usually a continuation of the story of the main set. So maybe the plot of the Mini-Set is Dr.Boom trying to take control of Whizbang's workshop or something like that.

Or Maybe has nothing to do and they reused the art of Dr. Boom's Scheme cause was kinda fitting and cheaper.

Either Dr. Boom is attempting a solo takeover of the workshop, or the entire League of EVIL will show up now to take control.

Honestly, would love if they had an over arching story theme for the whole year. Boom tries a coup, fails.  Second expansion Rafaam finds him and Hagatha they gather the EVIL members, third expansion some confrontation between EVIL and some group.  Maybe not the Explorers since they were in Badlands.  But solo content or not, give us something!  They did it for the 5th anniversary, why not the 10th?

Whizbang should pay more attention to the criminal history of the people he hire, half of his staff are villains. No wonder they rebel against him. It makes me think that Whizbang may not be as clean-cut as he seems.

And about the episodic expansions

I really like them, but HS did it twice, once with the Dalaran Heist and the other one with the Mercenaries, and they usually don't have the best reception, cause people gets tired of the characters, which I don't get it, cause the card does what it does, it could have any character in it; But I think that HS team knows this and tries to not doing it that frecuntly.

All the sets are somehow interconnected, which you can tell for the returning characters, but I was trying of make a HS Set timeline and there is just not enough information to build one. It's pretty messy. For example, Badlands happens before Legue of Explorers, because it's (retcomed to be) the set when Reno and Elise first met, but happens after Alteract Valley cause they confirmed that Kurthus went there after the Mercenaries disolved.

There are very few moments in Hearthstone's 10 year history I can think of where people weren't sick of the meta lol, at this point it's an integral part of the game 

Hope they didn't triple the cost for +20% number of cards.
