The first day of the new month, and a new Season! This is the 121st Ranked Season, and this season will not count towards the 2024 Hearthstone Esports events, with only the February & March Standard Ranked ladder giving points towards qualification for the Masters Tour Spring Championship!
This does mean that the Masters Tour Spring Championship will be held somewhere in the near future! You can read more about the Esports events and how you can participate in this article.

April 2024 Twist
There's no Twist season in April, and the mode is locked.
Rewards
A new month also means we all received our ranked rewards from last month. You can let us know in the comments if there was anything particularly cool you got from the reward boxes or packs!
We'll leave you with the Castle Nathria Cardback reward for the April 2024 season. You will need 5 ranked ladder wins in April 2024 to get it. "Castle Nathria: What grim delights shall consume their nights?"

Surprisingly a lot of people seemed to miss this. Even Roffle commented in a Duels tirade that they “deleted Twist” during the first break, not seeming to understand they planned on an occasional month off here and there.
Twist is in many ways similar to a long form Tavern Brawl, but with more stakes such as ladder rewards, they may take these breaks to try and make new rule sets and card pools are as balanced as possible. Just like how they preemptively banned the Caverns quest when adding Un’Goro after XL decks. They knew the quest would be really strong in that meta, and back to its original state. So they chose a ban rather than nerfing it for two months.
I’m not surprised by the lock down honestly, but a little surprised that I hadn’t seen a warning about it like before.
