Why not though? I don't see any mentions on Time Warp being excluded from the pool.
Or were you talking about the Vexallus interaction specifically?
Nevermind, it's a same cost but completely random spell.
Can't see this as a card you will build an entire deck around and manage to push high up in the meta, however if there is an archetype that is strong enough that you can push this in as a 2nd win condition or panic button if you will than sure.
I might be reading it the wrong way but does it only cast 1 spell per cost or if you cast multiple 1 cost spells will it cast those too?
Yes, at max it will cast 10 spells, 1 of each cost.
It's max is 11 if you remember 0
the max is 12 if you remember kazakusan can give you 14 mana spell
new way to recast Time Warp thats also arcane and will be double casted by Vexallus
This can't recast Time Warp it will just cast a random 5 cost spell.
Why the downvotes? It's absolutely right.
Because the orb says "Recast a spell of each cost you've played this game." Not "Cast a random spell of each cost." So if time warp is the only 5 mana spell it will absolutely cast a second time.
Edit: ok, this card is terribly worded. It's unclear if the word "random" in the text means "random out of spells that cost you've played" or "random out of the entire mage spell pool."
I am also thrown off by the word (recast), but at the same time the wording is kinda focused on the cost.
Also it should say played instead of cast, this is a wording contradiction they been having since OG Yogg Saron.
Like the spell is cast no matter how it activates but for played needs to be from hand.
"4" Yogg mage incoming
praise Orb
How does Projection Orb work with DJ Manastorm? If I play Sunset Villet for 1 Mana, then this, does Projection Orb read Sunset Volley as a 1 cost card or a 10 cost card?
I feel like it should care about the original cost. But they change how things work so often that I'm not really sure any more.
You could test it with Grey Sage Parrot. I could test it and tell you, but I'm lazy. If the Parrot dosn't recast a (>5) spell that you played for (<5) then this should work the same. Emphasis in should cause this is HS and not MTG, each card has their own rules.
As far as I can tell, cards that looks at things played in the past care about original cost. This thing or Grey Sage Parrot
Cards that look at stuff as you play it care about current cost, like Seek Guidance or Cosmic Keyboard
In addition to the important question of whether or not this could cast itself, I wonder whether that would actually do anything? Because if it casts off of a cast, doesn’t the game consider that a cast by the game and not by the player, and it would consider that the game hasn’t cast any other spells this game?
I'm guessing it won't get into the 10 mana pool, until it's done casting and you probably can't generate another copy.
They confirmed that it cannot cast itself
