I‘m a little bit disappointed to be honest. It‘s like rogue has nothing but pirates in 10 years.
No shuffle or typical rogue shenanigans. I would like to see something like Tess but better or faldorei. Pirates are a little bit boring imo and most of time op before they get nerfed to the ground.
strong additions to make pirate rogue OP
As if Pirate Rogue wasn't godawful enough to fight.
Toy Boat: “Exists.”
Starving Buzzard: “Am I a joke to you!?”
Terrible expansion for rogue with very limited synergies. Only 2-3 cards from its entire set will be playable.
Terrible comment with very limited insight
Only 2-3 thoughts in that person's entire life were clever.
See you after the expansion drops. Let's see how many of these cards will see play in standard ladder after 1 week.
I think it's way past the point of pirate rogue in wild to be addressed.
To be fair, other than the Toy Boat replacing Cutting Class or like Frenzied Felwing, I don't know if the rest of the cards are good enough to fit in that deck. Maybe the Fox could be. But that kind of decks are super optimized. That a card works with Pirates dosn't mean that is a good card for that deck. I never play it so I can't tell what card you can afford to swap.
0 mana draw will play, unless I'm forgetting some minions on decklist
The more Pirates and cheap aggro they add, the more radicalized shift to Control and board clears I get.
Well, we're getting Raiding Party and Southsea Deckhand back. We also get Treasure Distributor. There's ingredients here for a face deck with a lot of refill and burn. Goldbeard looks so expensive, but maybe sandbox scoundrel's mini just gives you enough mana. The amount of cheating with that + Shadowstep is pretty crazy.
Combo/aggro hybrid like Naga dh, but it's pirates and I like pirates. I'd be down to play that. The combo angle isn't nearly as strong as old sharpshooter, though. That's for the better I guess. I hope this deck is good.
Sandbox Scoundrel. It's basically Scabbs Cutterbutter but limited to one card for one more mana, seems fine to me
Dig for Treasure. Drawing a minion for just one mana is excellent, it doesn't matter if you don't get the coin. It can be optional if you are looking for your pieces for a specific combo
Bargain Bin Buccaneer and Toy Boat are very good, especially the Toy Boat in wild because of the absurd amount you can draw
Sandbox Scoundrel, is better since it's battle cry and not a combo like scabbs
Scoundrel is ok with just the effect and mini makes it really good.
Dig is just coin with extra steps.
Buccaneer works pretty well with Goldbeard and Toy Boat.
Toy boat kinda ties together the entire pirate package.
Oh I forgot. The Coin lets you draw a minion also! You’re right about Dig being just a coin with more steps. Genius.
The number of cards you have doesn't change. You use 1 card to get 1 card (+a coin).
...what? You use 1 card to get 2 cards, and it thins your deck. Beyond the fact that... you can't run the coin in your deck anyway.
Well, these are just buffs to a toxic wild deck that won't make any impact in Standard.
