Khadgar's Wisdomball has a set pool of well-known mage spells (related cards section), it evaluates which of those could be useful on the current board, and then randomly casts one of the spells deemed useful! (Source)
If you have played with any form of wisdomball before, you know that what you want and what it considers helpful may have some space between them. I would not plan on consistent/deterministic outcomes with khadgar but i would plan on funny highlights. (Source)
If your opponent is at 6, you can hope for the card to lethal your opponent but you should not plan on it. (Source)
Question: Can the same spell be cast twice or more by the same wisdomball? Answer: It's random each turn. (Source)
Question: Does it go for lethal every time if it's an option? Answer: The spell will certainly be helpful, but I can't guarantee it will be perfect. (Source)
Question: In what case the Wisdomball can cast arcane missiles instead of fireball for more damages or just cast blizzard..or it just 'random'? Answer: Arcane missiles has a chance to cast if opponent has at least one 1 health minion. (Source)
Question: How does his targeting work for stuff like Fireball and Arcane Missiles? Answer: Arcane Missiles does not target. All spells with targets will target enemies. (Source)
Question: What context does the ball need for it to cast counter spell? Answer: I'm not gonna get too specific on card by card interactions/possibilities - we def want players to try stuff out and see for themselves. :) (Source)
Question: So if opponent has a 3/3 and an 8/8 and randomly decides on polymorph, there's a 50/50 chance it will poly the 3/3? Answer: Yep. (Source)

This is the section on related cards of the official card entry. If that is accurate then the most helpful spell it can cast is just Fireball to the face for 6 turns. lol
EDIT: we updated the pop up for Khadgar with all the relevant cards. Just click on Khadgar to open it!
I guess if the "useful" AI casts arcane missiles and mirror image a lot, I can see why you'd get a full 6 charges. If there's any kind of selection process though I feel like they'd never get chosen in most cases. Maybe the idea is that you can limit the stuff you give wisdomball to remove and convince it to cast those weaker spells.
i think hs team just take this word Helpfull spell from WOW maybe ? hope so
So there is some items in wow that Helpful and Harmful spells trigers ? if someone is familiar so basically no face dmg spell in HS will be cast i guess
So something like aa 6-charge Zephrys. However, the usefulness of the spells will be subpar, unless there is a board to clear. It is also limited to just mage spells - so just more endless turns, spamming secrets, and the ocasional freezing. All of which are such wonderful and interactive mechanics...

I continue to be amazed that they thought that any Mage player would ever play that card, not least because there are so many other ways for Mage to do direct damage and summon stuff that don't a) require waiting until turn 6 and b) destroying 1/5th of your deck. The dual class cards in Showdown were really reaching when it comes to actual viability for both classes. I even tried some that don't look obvious in the "worse" classes (like Prosthetic Hand) and they're just not worth card slots most of the time. The fact that Mech Paladin isn't competitive (tried that, too, with Hand...) makes it that much worse.

Your pop up includes Flamestrike. Is it correct?

So, its probably not simply a random spell, but rather kinda like a 'wish' from Zephrys the Great that will consider your board situation.
