Unless there is a Forge for free synergy card this is very slow. Most giants have a way to cheat them out ,this still makes you spend the 8 mana unlike others
I don't think this is supposed to be good but rather to enable combos since you can reliably get it to 0 mana
This is “Lifetap” + Mountain Giant in theory but not quite since you want it in your starting hand to start forging it on turn two and three to play it on turn four.
It has some potential synergies, but I have a hard time imagining a meta where you have the time to forge this.
This card is a great one for decks looking to work their mana for finale. The bonus is a free minion drop later while still keeping the flow of their deck moving. ATM Warrior and Mage come to mind for best use but could be others as time goes on.
This looks disgusting with Melted Maker - if you forge one down to 0 mana, on turn 10 you could play melted + 3x forge and get 4 0 mana 8/8 taunts. I could see that being a possible combo in lategame control decks where "do nothing" for a turn is normal.
Otherwise it's ass unless there's more payoff for forging stuff.
naga mage just got another win condition
You could forge this a couple times and then, on turn 5, drop Melted Maker and forge it again to get two 2 mana or 0 mana copies.
this forge mechanic at the very least may help curve out turns more easily to help trigger finale in decks for warrior and such
Waiting for a class to get a Legendary that stays "At the end of your turn, forge all cards in your hand".
This card would make a lot more sense.
Wish I can add this to my Even Lock in Wild, but Forge mechanic is too slow in Wild...
I don't want to impose the genre on anyone, but shouldn't be called "Storm Giantess"?
I hate this card. Giants where one of the only consistent things left in Hearthstone, they are 8/8s, they are Epic, they have no Keywords, and they reduce their cost by (1) for each X thing that happened in the game. And it always was like that.
Jumbo Imp is not called "Imp Giant" cause it has to be in your hand, Grave Horror is not called "Grave Giant" cause it has Taunt and is a 7/8. And this just brakes it for free. Outrageous.
I kinda like the Mana Banking mechanic, but, dosn't seems worth it at all. The value in reducing the cost of cards is that you actually don't pay for that cost. The only almost reasonable scenario I can thing if is there is a card that Triggers when Forge, like Melted Maker, and you can Forge this "for free" cause play this for (8) or forge this 4 times and then play it is the same amount of Mana. But it needs a lot more than that.
Kindly don't assume the gender of a giant.
I don't see this seeing play. You're basically banking mana every time you forge this. 2 mana can be put to better use, and todays aggressive metas don't allow for banking mana for such a small impact. Ideally you'd want this in your starting hand and forge it turn 2 and 3 to drop it, but many decks might now allow you to do this.
too slow
I think Warrior might have some fun with this, between the taunt it has and the fact you can Blackrock 'n' Roll it and THEN forge the cost down while in your hand may lead to some shenanigans.
Does he works with Echo from Glinda Crowskin, if he costs 0?
Echo cards can't cost less than 1.
That would be 5 8/8, kinda good. Still slow.
You honestly can do that with any other Giant in the game already, and nobody does it. So I suspect that it's not a spectacular combo.
