Blizzard just announced a completely new mode with rotating seasons and special rules called Twist! Let's take a closer look at what it's going to be.
Battle-Ready Decks
Apparently there will be Battle-Ready decks for the new Twist mode that you'll be able to purchase either with real money or with your Gold if you want to quickly get a decent deck to play the mode if you don't have most of the cards.
You'll also be able to buy full-golden versions of these Battle-Ready decks. Source
Card Changes in Twist
Only one version of cards in Standard/Wild/Twist. So if nerfs were reverted when they entered Wild, those versions will be in Twist.

Quote from BlizzardStarting in Patch 26.6, coming later this month, Hearthstone will be replacing the Classic Mode with a new Mode called Twist!
Classic Hearthstone, With a Twist
Twist is a Hearthstone ladder Mode with regularly rotating seasons, each with a twist on the rules! Twist formats can include curated card pools and special rulesets. These formats are sure to bring back some of your favorites, but in a new setting with a new meta to crack!
We already have some fun and nostalgic Twist formats planned for the rest of the year, but we also want to hear from you about Twist formats you’d like to see, or if you end up loving one so much you want to see us bring it back. Twist formats are planned to change regularly, but not necessarily with every season. Twist also might be deactivated from time to time we prepare for the next upcoming season. You can find Twist in the Hearthstone menu, where Classic used to be, and you always check the current Twist season’s rules and eligible card pools from the deck selection screen.
Twist Timing
With Patch 26.6, Twist will be launching in its Beta. You’ll start your Twist climb from the beginning, at Bronze 10, and that first season will be a short season, lasting until July 1. You’ll also be able to earn ranked rewards from the Twist ladder, like Standard or Wild. June’s ranked rewards will be based on your highest ladder rank across Standard, Wild, Classic, or Twist. Once the Twist Beta kicks off, the official Leaderboards will switch from Classic to Twist.
The Twist Beta is planned for June and July. After the Beta, Twist will be temporarily deactivated for a short time while we prepare for the official Twist launch, coming soon!
Beta Format: New Age
Due to the short June season, there will be one format for both the June and July Beta seasons of Twist. That format is called “New Age,” a new evergreen format that includes the Core Set, plus all sets from Ashes of Outland forward. That means, during this Beta period, it will consist of:
- Core
- Ashes of Outland
- Scholomance Academy
- Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
- Forged in the Barrens
- United in Stormwind
- Fractured in Alterac Valley
- Voyage to the Sunken City
- Murder at Castle Nathria
- March of the Lich King
- Path of Arthas
- Festival of Legends
As new sets are added to the game, they will be added to the New Age pool, which might be brought back from time to time. For these Beta seasons, there will also be a special rules variant to the New Age format: no neutrals allowed. That will let you re-experience the New Age, but through new eyes! When we bring New Age back in the future, it might come back with the same rules variant, a different one, or no rules variant at all.

Make sure you link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts so that your viewing time counts towards drops.
Same, no regrets.
No neutrals is extremely boring, decks right now are 90%+ class cards anyway? The neutrals seen in standard right now are for the vast majority either discover cards or certain legendaries.
Which brings me to my next point: I would love to see a twist season where all cards that can discover are banned. Just humor me, I really want to try it.
That doesn't bring them money and new modes does, for example: u need card from previous expansions so if you are new player you need to buy packs from older expansions and if u are old player maybe you dusted some so you need to recraft them again... Plus what's bad with new modes ? More stuff to do in HS more likely more people gonna play it.
I think they should focus on current modes and fix all bugs first...
Basically a brawl mode just for ranked and for a longer time.
The reason I don’t play standard anymore is cause it gets boring very fast cause of the less cards.
I love beeing able to play all cards. So I don’t know if I would play the new mode. I’m as a casual very fine with wild.
That's kinda the rub though, is in Wild you conceivably CAN play all the cards, but the meta is powercrept so hard that you are literally unable to without playing a specific meta deck, with very few shake-ups.
I totally welcome a different take on a structured format that allows me to utilize my backlog of cards without the typical Wild limitations of power.
In what world do you live that you think thats different for any company?
Would ya look at that. More fucking P2W horseshit you gotta spend money on.
Seriously. Fucking. Private. Server.
SOMEONE. ANYONE. Make it happen.
It's not P2W at all.
Would you look at that.
PW2 simps trying to convince people it isn't P2W.
Gamers are a fucking biological mistake.
It literally isn't though. You get from 10-15 free legendaries per set. It's entirely possible to build 3 or 4 decks that can get you to legend while 100% F2P.
Sounds like you're just shit at the game and want to find something, anything else to blame it on besides yourself.
I just want a balanced mode at this point, thats all.
There will never be a balanced mode unless you expect them to never dump new content, change cards, or rotate sets within that mode.
A perfectly balanced game is not as good as people want to believe, it gets boring really quickly.
I didn't ask for perfect balanced game, just a mode that makes sense.
So they remove the most F2P friendly mode to add a new mode that requires a lot of wilds cards? Cards that most new players most likely don't even have and that older players have mostly dusted? If they want to make it a fun mode then at least let us borrow the cards.
Genius way to get you to buy the cards you dusted again. More $$$$$.
Because no one plays Classic mode? According to hsreplay the total number of games played in classic is less than the number of games played just by the top deck in Standard.
The only time I played Classic mode was effectively to farm wins off bots for Warrior's golden portrait, when the class was dumpster-tier for almost the past year. It's not needed and can safely be replaced.
Hope they bring back the old minisets for this, I was unable to buy the first two at the time they were released.
