They really need to chill out with the mid game board clears. Holy shit, this is good enough to actually run in the current insane stall mage. Plus, it can be randomly generated. And it's bar the best board clear hunter's ever gotten. People thinking this is meh or bad dont realize that you cannot play around this card. If they medium-high roll, this card can easily clear 10 mana worth of minions on turn 5. It'll kill whatever 5 mana play your opponent going first just made, plus will deal with what remained from last turn. Really hate cards like this
Probably usable in Arcane Hunter, but not mage.
Decent card for the Arcane school and duel classed for the two who can run arcane will it make Arcane hunter a thing though? wait and see.
The interesting part here is, that it’s so good with spelldamage since +1 spelldmg increases this cards dmg basically by +6
It has potential of wasting a lot of damage by landing at low health minions first. Still, it is the best board clear hunter ever had.
This + Vexalus = board clear. Great card.

You still can do it but is easiest make an OTK with Desert Obelisk that with this card.
15 damage for 5 isn’t bad. Not sure about this one though. Decent board clear but doesn’t go face.

In theory is relevant that is an Arcane spell because, most likely the worst archetype of the year so far, Arcane Hunter. But that only is going to matter if somebody starts to play Arcane Hunter.
But yeah, other than that, if you put it that way, is pretty lame that is just the same card but with +2 base damage and +2 Cost.
But to be fair is not the first time they do it coffcoff Cinderstorm coff.
"+2 base damage and +2 cost" is misleading. You get 9 more damage for +2 cost, unmodified.
Now, this is my hunter copium showing, but this card, and Shellshot, have some flexibility. Sure, it can be used to clear four small minions. But it can also be used to clear two medium minions, or maybe one Thaddius, Monstrosity.
It's not first class removal, like other classes get. But hunters have always needed support to make their removal effective: like making trades before playing a Deadly Shot. And we have those options in Standard, including Urchin Spines. I don't know this card makes the cut in any current hunter deck, and I doubt it makes "Arcane Hunter" a thing, but don't sleep on it.
yeah, I express myself wrong, I mean +2 as a number, not as damage.
I don't dislike the card, it's just not that interesting.
If mage has Combustion [/card]and then they print a 4-Mana spell that says "Deal 6 damage to a minion. Any excess damages both neighbors." I would be equally excited. Naturally at some point you print bigger and smaller versions of some spells, I don't have a problem with that, but [card]Shellshot is just such a recent card and it has an effect peculiar enough to be noticed.
But the card is solid. I just play Wild, and I'm sure that in Wild is going to see 0 play, but maybe can fit somewhere in standard.
