My uncle works at blizzard
Nah I think it's just a cost reduction buff. It will certainly go down to 5 mana.
When is morning to blizzard?
10 AM Pacific Time
If the Symphony of Sins buff is getting to pick out of the seven when cast.. that card will be in every warlock deck I make. Would be too good at that point. I'm guessing though they will lower the initial cost to five mana.
The UI doesn't allow you to pick between 7 cards. Extremely unlikely that they will revamp the UI and remove the random element from the card, just to buff it.
It's going to 5 mana 100%.
anub'rekhan is not a legendary? blightfang either? how about basaleph? and all 3 of them are disenchantable... did you even read which cards are actually getting a nerf?
It actually blows my mind that banana slamma got greenlit as a tier 3. That thing would be a powerful tier 6. How in gods name did that happen?
Priest has only 1 working deck and they are nerfing it. Seriously!
The truth is they don't know how to balance the meta and now they even destroyed Battlegrounds.
Just a good week overall for Blizzard. First Overwatch, now Hearthstone. Can't wait to see what is next on the list. Or did Diablo already get that with their new monetization stuff?
Nah the truth is that they don't want to balance the meta.
This is exactly how they want the game to be. Quick games with high RNG impact.
Young people who are glued to their phone, watch tiktok all day and are highly susceptible to gambling addiction will love HS.
And that's their target audience.
This game design also provides more highlight moments and makes it far more interesting for Twitch viewers.
That's why a lot of people still like watching streamers playing the game despite quitting the game a long time ago.
I think that's actually one of the two main reasons why they try their best to make the games as short and unpredictable as possible.
Many games in the past became irrelevant real fast simply because they sucked to watch.
If you're developing a new game these days you NEED to consider this aspect.
Not to mention Marvel Snap is killing them in sales and that game is for those with zero attention span and the ability to keep clicking that PTW button.
That's MY job!
He clarified on twitter that the blog patch notes pull graphics from the build. Presumably the pictures of the cards after the changes but no further clarification. Since the problem is that the build itself failed to finalize, it can't complete that step. If they were to publish the patch notes now it would be a text-only site that isnt up to their professional/design standards.
Which is really interesting and explains why they've changed to publishing patch notes so late. They've reduced the workload of writing/publishing the patch notes by automating the graphics. But that comes with the downside of not being able to publish the patch notes until the build has been finalized.
Ah well thanks for the research and information on this reply to me. It is still quite hilarious though as they could just simply write out what the changes are anyway to inform us, do we really need all the flashy pictures, just write one line on what is changing, wouldn't take that long.
True, I found it fascinating from a technology and workflow perspective and think its a perfectly valid reason for not publishing the blog post. So, I was only focusing on that side of it. But its not like we need the full blog post to understand the changes. It might be best to just tweet a quick "X card to 5 mana, Y card to 3 attack" type reveal and do the full blog post later in a scenario like this.
But I'd guess they just dont want to deal with the potential workload and fallout of that type of communication when they're trying to figure out and finalize whatever problem has come up with the build. So I kinda get why they're just not dealing with it. Sometimes the best solution isn't the logistically best solution.
Wait there is an issue on telling us THE PATCH NOTES ?? Something wrong with the PATCH would make sense, but they should know about the NOTES AND TELL US WHAT IS CHANGING. This makes it seems like they are doing last minute change to the actual patch themselves and are still not sure on what buffs and nerfs are gonna be final.
Jesus when will Blizz stop dropping the ball
Worked for Eye Beam
Or they found an issue during testing that needs to be fixed. Are you just a professional jerk?
