This week's brawl is Aviana's Night!
Rules:
It's Aviana's Night at the tavern and the feeling's alright! The first card you play each turn will be on the house!
This is played with Standard deck building rules.
If you have a great deck for this brawl, create it in our deckbuilder, and share it with the world! Just make sure to label the Deck Type as a "Tavern Brawl" while saving and it might show up on the front page!
Rewards:
A Standard Card Pack for winning the Brawl once.
Jailer on turn 1 is good, but death wing counters him.
This brawl is great. Matches last about 60 seconds.
It's basically who draws Thaddeus first. LOL
Saw a lot of success with Shaman with The Jailer on turn 1 and then Criminal Lineup on turn two.
Soulstealer
I am surprised they would bring this brawl in while Thaddius is in standard. Sort of makes this game a coin flip.
Good for quests though, since games are so short. Just run all of the good 7+ mana cards.
I'll give blizzard at least an A for effort in making a new unique brawl. But that's where the praise ends. This brawl is nothing but paladins and warriors, since both have a ton of tutors and warriors has ways of doubling in deck stats and paladin can draw and rearrange their cards for cheap. The first person who gets off a big thaddius turn, or plays lothemar to double all their stats first wins.
Honestly, the best way to have done this brawls instead would've been that both players had finale: refresh their mana crystals. That way it there wouldn't be mass mana cheat, you had to think turns ahead to get the value, and using that value made it so you may not have been able to hit finale later.
Death Knight wins as always. Instantly start the clock on them with Mograine, shred their hand with patchwerk, wipe their board with Soulstealers, damage from hand with Gnome Munchers, and draw/generate lots of cards with low cost cards to keep doing it.
The only format DJ Manastorm can see play in. Had some fun with Pyroblast and rewind
I just played Mage with all the biggies and lots of little spells.
Played a few games now. The player starting has a massive advantage and high likely wins. Nevertheless, fun brawl!
Why Standard and not Wild?
I wanted T1 Puzzleboxx...
Obviously because they took this brawl very seriously.
Played the jailer turn 1 = concede. First game. Brawl done
Warlock - Jailer + Mal'Ganis high roll = opponent concedes on turn 3
gieb decks
I was excited until i saw the word standard.
For those of you wondering what to do with that tiny bit of extra mana after playing your 9 or 10 drop, here’s a fun little thing to think about.
If your first play is Ysera the Dreamer, she gives you above average on-curve plays for your first four turns.
Brand new brawl! Oh... it is lame. At least there is hope for new fun ones later.
Banjosaur with a few big beats and Faithful Companions goes great
