No draw, no cheating mechathun mechanism (like druids one), to activate mechathun he needs to survive a turn, no emptying hand or deck mechanism (i mean, you need to draw and play every card, turn by turn without any effects to speed things up).

    Anti-synergies:

    - pyros, he is adding more cards to play, which is slowing your mechathun, becouse you need to play them to empty your hand

    - arugal, same as above, you don't need copies of cards, you need to draw them or even burn them

    - stonehill defender, same as pyros

Just can't see how you will win by mechathun effect.

It's obvious you never played big spell mage. I don't need draw. My hand stays full with these cards, like magic. I am not trying to empty my hand fast. I am controlling every archetype with my deck, throughout the whole game, into fatigue, with no draw. Pyros, arugal and stonehill help to keep my hand full, which I want for my giants and astromancers. I want copies! I want more big cards to throw down for longer. I want them using their hard removals. I want a variety of options at every turn. I want a full hand AND 40 cards in my deck, if I could.

Mecha'thun is hardly ever the win condition. Do you see the meat in this deck? I control, lifesteal, and go into fatigue if need be, which is doubtful because I will be wrecking them the whole way there. Only other elite players will ever get to see my mecha'thun.

I trigger mecha'thun with pryoblast after 1 turn yes. I keep track of their deck, make sure they have no hard removal. You know, clever stuff. And if they don't make it to my mecha'thun? They will see a spectacular pyroblast to the face and probably be none the wiser.

Before you ask, The Darkness is a counter to other fatigue decks, like this the futile druid idea you and everyone else are on about. Do you really think they'll be able to keep 2 naturalize against all my meat, The Darkness resurrection as well? HA! Good luck is all I have to say.

Wow! 4+ down votes! This is getting good. Is it because Mecha'thun and The Darkness? Oh...you'll all realize it very soon. You read it here first. Everyone will be trying to use these cards. My deck is bananas, will survive all metas within this card lineup. Down vote away!

posted a message on The Darkness counters Mecha'thun!

I've been in deep thought designing my control mage deck and recently found out about Mecha'thun. Of course I added him. That got me thinking, how many other people want to use Mecha'thun? I decided that these decks would try and draw out fast (mine doesn't) with some shenanigans, like druid using Invigorate+ naturalize on theirs. I knew I needed a counter, and came up with it, The Darkness is a great card to help. You need big mid-game minions to help beat them down too. Overwhelm their hard removal. Just check out my deck here to see what I'm talking about. Try not to down-vote like everyone on the mage forum, LOL...SMH. No hope for this world.

posted a message on Mecha'Thun is too strong.

The Darkness is the counter to Mecha'thun. Druids unfortunately have the Invigorate + Naturalize trick, which isn't nice! I created an epic control mage deck and posted on mage forum. 3 down votes, just got another. I know a lot of people don't know crap when I see those down votes. The deck is extremely awesome. Check it out ->here<- if you would like to learn more.

posted a message on Druid and Mecha'thun

Druids will be playing control draw-heavy decks with mecha'thun. Once they snap him up with their 7,8,9,10 card and have invigorate + naturalize, they start burning though their deck, even losing cards until mecha'thun>invigorate>naturalize finisher.

OMG Mecha'thun! This thing fits! My hope came true. It's extremely niche though, you will almost never get the satisfaction of playing it. When you do, you know you fought someone tough. It's not real necessary but if you want to be ready for anything, you need this card! Just read the last paragraph of reasoning at my decklist to find out why.

posted a message on New Card Reveal - Mecha'thun

The trick to getting the deathrattle to work is play it on a turn where opp. set out a doomsayer. LOL good luck emptying your deck and hand on same turn :D Idk how to make it work!

EDIT: what about the TWIG weapon!? Time twig with this card!

zola isn't that great for this. You might be expecting to use it on astromancer but that's not a very good play. Molten reflection is much better because if you get a good minion you can copy on board instantly. If not you have great targets with giants or lich king.

I am dead serious about the title. I wish you nooblords would stop playing shutter. In return for my shaman enlightenment, I ask for the opportunity to share with you the most powerful deck in boom. The only question is: will anyone ever realize it this time? Check it. Peace.

I am having fun with it after about 30 games. I am missing Alex and BM :( I can tell they would help a ton! Almost every time I blizzard I wish I had BM in deck. Why use Skulking Geist and how are you using Alex for the most part?

I use same deck except with a Spellshifter instead of bloodmage.

At lower ranks you might find a lot more aggro type / pally decks. When I am fighting a lot of fast decks I like to add in a Arcane Explosion. The Spellshifter helps with the pally decks too.
