I decided to watch players live and visited Kiev Cyber Sport Arena for the first time in my life and I have following impressions:
I arrived around 12:50 local time just before play-off. So I was excited, but to my disappointment I could't see Ukrainian players or commentators at all.
There is was just a big screen with twitch transmission and voice of Russian commentators, but the same I could watch at home.
In fact when Iner and Neirea played desicive game Russian transmision broke and I finished to watch the English transmision from my smartphone.
I wanted to but at least some merchandising with hearthstone logo. Well the local shop had only one hearthstone light-up keychain and shop accepted only payments with a cash...
So I was really disappointed with such organization and left without waiting final results.
In July I will be in China for some business. I hope it will be organized much better for the spectators, but still not so sure that I want to visit any Hearthstone event.
P.S. I am really happy for Neirea. Qualify two times in row at such RNG game gives him lots of respect.

you could just uninstall. i was in a similar situation. i don't think i'm fully over my addiction, i still come over here sometimes to see the news, i like the warcraft lore etc. so i sneak a peak when i'm seriously bored from work.
but i've stopped playing.
yes these games are designed to be addictive. i think all blizzard games are like that, they are like a jolly crack dealer or a giant gambling company. they give you a sense of progression (doesn't matter if it's warcraft, diablo, hearthstone or overwatch) and keep dangling the carrot.
if you have an addictive personality they can take over your entire life. first i was addicted to WoW, then diablo, then hearthstone. just uninstalling everything was the answer.
the most important thing is to find something else you enjoy to fill your time, something that gives you a sense of progression and reward in real life. hopefully something constructive and not another destructiv addiction. good luck.

it's just dull. they did an excellent job with league of explorers and old gods.
with karazhan i was expecting more magic, dragons, some exciting stuff. not fighting dinner plates and cheap imitations of disney movies.
