It's a good idea and much better design but defeats the purpose of a highlander archetype as that is effect is not worth having only one copy of everything in your deck. It's the reason why Inkmaster Solia or Krul never really took off in MSG meta as a mediocre one time effect is barely worthwhile but continual value in Raza is.

Blizzard would have to remove the "if your deck contains no duplicates" part of the card in order for it to be viable at all, which would mean highlander priest could run duplicates which would be really scary (double mind blast shenanigans etc). Obviousy they would have to cut Kazakus which is one of the most powerful aspects of the deck but i think duplicates or some other package would make up for this

I think a better solution would be to simply change Shadowreaper Anduin to cant target face to remove OTK bullshit which is crippling other control decks like pally and warlock atm and would take priest back to its control orientated roots

Priest for sure. Even though I win most games against them, I lose a bit of my soul everytime in the process. Would honestly rather lose 10 games straight to jade druid than win one game against priest, its seriously not that fun.

Been scrolling through the forums lately and everyone loves to complain about how (insert deck here) is not fun to play against.

So I had a thought. What is actually enjoyable to play against?

Now I know most of the meta is pure cancer atm with highroll or tempo decks but every ~20 games I see an original deck at rank 5 that really renews my enjoyment of the game

My pick would go to something like Miracle Valeera Rogue, knowing that the game could really go anyway.

So, dealing face damage does not match Priest's identity?

Huh, that's weird. I always thought this side of Warcraft, Shadow Priest, was always considered part of the class identity. Like, from the very beginning to this day.

On the one hand, you had cards like Auchenai Soulpriest, Embrace the Shadow and the recently added Auchenai Phantasm that would gain big burst potential with cheap and powerful healing spells like Flash Heal, Light of the Naaru and the just added Regenerate.

And on the other hand, you had the direct damage cards like Shadowform, Spawn of Shadows, Shadowreaper Anduin, Shadowbomber and of course Mind Blast. Not to mention other shadow-themed cards like Shadowfiend, Shadow Word: Death, Excavated Evil... I guess ALL these cards were just happy little accidents, that you actually did not want to make because that's all not part of Priest's class identity.

You know, if you really think that Shadow Priest, a DPS spec, kinda obviously about dealing face damage, should not exist in Hearthstone, fine. You can say that. You can say that you don't want that anymore. Go ahead and nerf more basic cards. But don't be like "it's not part of the class identity" after 5 years of continously printing cards that confirmed it IS a part of Priest's identity.

Argh... I'm getting mad again. I put more effort and thought into pointing out how this line makes no sense than Mike Donais in his statement.

Ok fine, it's not part of Priest's class identity. They were always just about healing and buffs and love and friendship. Go ahead, downvote me for criticising a developer who clearly knows what he's saying.

7 mana 7/7, and the boom bots (think you meant this, not 7 armor) deal 8 face dmg, you crazy!!

I was priest main for a while. Now I just hate it. It shuts down both midrange and aggro. Your early game is negated by their removal and your late game dies to the death Knight. 

If you get lucky you can win with tempo rogue or cancer druid, and that's it. If you survive, a death Knight warlock can win. 

Warrior is amazing. And warrior in the past used to be really good against aggro, bad against mid-range, and a coin toss against other control decks. Way better than priest today.
