If Innkeeper is dead, they should really remove the buttons and links to download it IMO

This deck can be very explosive in the early game. I won a game in turn 3 once in which I went second. Opponent passed turn one. I started with leper gnome. Opponent traded a 3/2 into it (health: 26). I played whirling for 6 (20). Opponent armored up. I played dust devil, abusive, rockbiter. Devil hit face for 16, plus 6 from zappomatic = exact legal.

That said, if the opponent gets more than one minion with 5+ health to stick, this deck has a really hard time recovering.

Fun deck. A+ would play again

it shouldn't be a surprise that this game was created by a for-profit company to earn money.

    Fixed that for you.

Do you know what other TCGs don't give away free packs when new sets come out? Nearly all of them. Also, most of them don't give out free cards at all, meaning you can't even play if you don't spend some money.

I don't understand all this anger about a company trying to make money. Do you think it's free to host the servers necessary for millions of players to play hearthstone? Do you think that Blizzard's developers are all volunteers? Of course not.

Grow up and check your entitlement at the door. Be thankful this game even gives you the option of F2P. Otherwise, you're just a joke with your attitude.

Well said, You fav deck is probably wallet/controll warrior or hand/walletlock and u like to shine with your skills infront of those new players at start of any new season, right?

HS is digital game so its costs em 0, nullo effort or manufacture costs to help those f2p players or new players. HS suppose to be F2P, not P2W. Also H$ has nothing to do with other TCG since its video game and without those "f2p" players there wouldnt be so many ppl registered and game wouldn't be so popular.

My favorite deck at present is actually deathlord hunter. It has no legendary cards, only a few epics. I do have a wallet warrior deck, and handlock. But that's really irrelevant.

TCGs of any kind require cards. HS gives you ways to earn those cards by playing the game. Is it as fast as buying them with money? No. But Blizz is a for-profit company. With employees and taxes and investors and overhead. So of course they want people to buy things.

The next time McDonald's comes out with a new sandwich,  go ask them if you can have one for free and see what happens.

Finally, your argument that the cards have no associated cost because they're digital is flawed. For one thing, someone had to do the artwork, which costs money. The sounds associated with each card had to be recorded and mixed, and so the voice talent and sound tech had to be paid for their time. A large team of developers wrote the code for each card some of which have quite complicated effects, and so all the developers have to be paid. Then the devops folks had to work out how to effectively roll out the update, oversee the whole thing, and make sure it didn't burn everything down. I didn't even mention QA folks in the mix.

So, while it may be true that there isn't much cost to a single copy of a card (aside from the database space your collection uses), saying that it cost nothing for Blizz to just give away $5m worth of free booster packs is incorrect.

In a world where you can generally expect to pay $50 for a solid 12-15 hours of gameplay in a AAA title, I see no problem spending $50 on a game I've played for hundreds of hours.

    Perspective.
