lol this is the only nerf that is pointless. Needed a nerf to 4 health to have any practical effect. And even then it is only challenged by 1 card, flamestrike.
The problem with this card is it almost ALWAYS protects druid's health for an entire turn AND allows to still have minions on board after opponent's next turn. But, you know, nice nerf :D
Generally, on paper, these priest OTK decks look like they can work, but, in practice, it is very, very poor. The amount of times it will work will be less than not working. Usually, there are so many variables in regards to enemy board presence/spell distribution that priests trying to control the board with spells/few minions is very unreliable.
Simple as that. It's worth a shot to try out and rearrange some stuff, but, in the end, you end up having to simplify the OTK deck as a priest because you can never withhold so many cards at once without dying to aggro or even mid-range for that matter. I've tried more board presence in the past with velen variations and it works better than heavy RNG based spell board control.
this card isn't bad, and it's not good. If the meta slows down, this card should find its way into priest control meta.
it's situational. 8th turn. board is clear. What does the opponent play? Well, he's scared to death of dropping anything good if this card is used in the meta. so he's forced to play around or risk losing something strong that only gets to attack once.
Everyone spewing how easily the opponent will trade it in and yet they use unrealistic hypotheticals that ONLY make this card bad. It's, again, situational.
This card is meh at face value, but has high potential.
Everyone, including myself, keeps saying your opponent will kill it off. Um ok, great? So he equality pyro'd his tirion. Not bad. Priest would need more 3-6 mana minion presence for this to be good. Otherwise, it will just be a much weaker Sylvanas where they get the choice to trade/kill what they want and go face with their entire board before you gain control of it. Then you're behind.
So it all depends on how control-y priest can get to not be eaten by aggro. Tbh, I think it'll work.
Well, given that there is a death-esque theme, I assume there will be MANY deathrattle cards and this one resembles sludge, in its artwork anyway.
This card is synergistic with the eggs and priest quest at the very least. Turn 3 devilsaur egg, turn 4 this. Turn 5 threaten board control.
Can even steal their minions up to 5 power with pint size (or 6 if running shadow madness) and use it to trade and nuke itself. It's not meta defining its current form, but we will see soon enough. (Steal and nuke a tirion?) lols

I dont even play this terrible game anymore, yet I can tell these nerfs are well justified from all the tears of first timer rank 5s LOL

yeppp. but creating a deck that is able to hold off aggro while holding onto a 6 card combo is what makes this combo not good. But, fun :)
