Apparently the rule is that you can discover Colossals to hand, but not to the board. Exactly cause of the kind of brokenness that we see now with Shaman.

I'm usually chill about pricing cause Blizz and any other company just charge what they feel they can get away with and what brings them most profit.

But what gets me is that at some point recently (since last Mini Set) they changed it so you can no longer buy the normal mini set online or in the B.net shop. You can only buy the Golden set. 

Only choice you have for the normal set is to buy it in game with runes or gold. As someone who regularly gets gifts on Battle.net and gives gifts on battle.net this is a total scam and bullshit change. I'm now supposed to gift someone the cool gift of....runestones? So they can buy their own mini set in game? What an absolute joke.

In protest I refuse to buy any further mini sets for real money until they revert this change, cause this is just baiting ignorant people into spending on gold set and gifting gold sets instead of the normal sets.

Cause it's just the mini sets now, but soon enough it will be packs too and then preorders too and it turns the shop into a complete noobtrap (which they have technically already doen with this change, but could decide to do more).

There's a lot of people screaming bloody murder over the tiniest changes Blizz makes to the business side, and much of it is unfounded, but THIS is an actual bullshit change that is worth such outrage.

And a Protector?!

Weird choices for this one.

With regards to Whirlweaver, this is the list of Standard Elementals that Mage would have access to:

With this result I can only assume this means Whirlweaver is a foreshadowing of an Elemental set in the next expansion for Mage.

I know the obvious comparison for The Purator is The Curator, but it also strongly reminds me of Aldor Truthseeker. 5 Mana 4/6 with Taunt that greatly helps enable an archetype for Paladin.

Unlikely. There's 2 parts to the card. The damage a minion part will be influenced by SP, the damage to face part is a fixed 3 damage most likely.

So SP is still useful as it grows the range to which you can get the killing blow with it, but it;s not going to extend the face damage I assume.

I think it's a decent bet that this WAS Saphiron at first before they went with the more well known name of Sindragosa.

Cool card too. You kind of knew they would bring back all the keywords of the past year, they have been doing that for a couple of years now, but a Dragon Colossal is actually pretty neat use of that tradition.

What's even more neat is the fact it's a 2 colour card. We didn't have any of those yet.

This keeps the game mode playable long term for those interested in it. A reason to play it, as opposed to just fully dead.

I'll probably dabble in it myself every now and then, just for something to do, but from this announcement it is clear Blizz sees no future in financially putting a lot of time and effort into Mercs. Disappointing, but it's better than continuing to put budget of game development towards it when you can put that towards Battlegrounds or Constructed.

Who knows they might replace the Mercs content development with Constructed PvE Content development now. Silver linings etc.

Y'all wanna know the really fun part? TECHNICALLY if they bring out the patchnotes on Thursday and the Patch on next Tuesday it will still fulfill their promise of having a balance patch in January. It would be on the very last day of it, but STILL JANUARY.

I suspect it will be patched on Thursday though, but the mind goes funny places sometimes.

How is this the same? one gives you complete control over your deck and allows for turn 1 kills, one fills half your deck with utter crap and relies on drawing your good half of your deck without having access to draw.

They are not the same at all. I'm at a loss to see how this is similar in any fashion.
