Hello again
well let me tell you something your deck is just sooo amazing.
i've been playing against paladins a lot so i have modified the deck into it and it worked really well
i added +2 Horde Operative
Removed - 1 Teron Gorefiend
-1 Raging Felscreamer
i've hit with it from gold 5 to Legend in 2 days high winrate on it (70%)
the other deck is probably (76%) but bad against paladin.
Thanks again for the deck it was amazing experience.

As described in match-up list, we do have multiple good match-ups and also worse ones. However, although it may seem that Illidari Inquisitor is our only win-condition, we certainly have another one. Against aggro/midrange matchups we win by controlling the board with our sticky deathrattle minions and favourable trades with Ace Hunter Kreen such that the opponent essentially can't do much. Against the more controlly decks (which, as you wrote, run heal, taunt and armor), you have to generate extra value with your Illidari Studies and Venomous Scorpid, for instance by copying more Illidari Inquisitor with Felosophy or by destroying opponent's value with Glide. It certainly is not an easy deck to master, but you might want to give it a second try if you get to know all the specific play styles :).

Its always important to consider whether a card helps me more often than it harms me. It doesn’t help if a card is rarely VERY GOOD but blocks my hand significantly more often. Ashfallen never decides a game but its almost always valuabl.
But hey. everyone has different experiences and everyone is free to build their deck as they think they will be more successfull.

Longstoryshort : I played 10-0 to legend.
It's just ridiculous how strong Illidari Inquisitor is. And with N'Zoth, God of the Deep .. it just don't fell right :D
The only card which felt not as powerful as the other is Teron Gorefiend. In rarely cases against aggro he is extreme overpowered. Which is the reason I didn't cut him.

Coilfang Warlord seems like a strange choice in this deck since we it does not really suit the playstyle of our deck. The Death Speaker Blackthorn is not a card I would cut. For 7 mana, you get approximately 12 mana worth of just pure minion stats (4 3-drop minion ststas at least) and they often also have rush, taunt or deathrattle. Rushing them in with an Animated Broomstick is one of the few big boardclears this deck has. However, the OTK Leerox hunter deck is indeed great fun if you get it to work. GL climbing!

The Illidari Studies is indeed a great card, just a general flexible card. Thanks for your feedback! I will also experiment a bit more with some variation of cards.

So, as I mentioned I just started back in on the Hearthstone grind a few days ago so I started way up in Bronze... and just had a Deathrattle DH mirror match for my Plat 5 rank up game. I clipped the last five minutes via lowkey: Plat 5 DR DH mirror match
Illidari Studies comes in clutch, pulling me a Kurtrus Ashfallen just when I need it, that's the beginning of the clip- turn 8 after we both Death Speaker Blackthorn'd on Turn 7. I was controlling the match up the entire game until right at the end when he was able to take board control swinging hard at me with an Illidari Inquisitor ... I had some real lucky draws at the end that won me the game.

Been seeing some versions of this deck running pirates and some watch post tech but then its just this deck... can't really tell if its stronger or not as I am face hunter grinding xD
I do want to say though I am still using this deathrattle deck on switch when I feel like I'm in a pocket of bad hunter match ups (running the good face and OTK decks)

If you are having problems in a heavy mage/paladin meta (I just switched to face/OTK hunter when I get in those pockets), but you can also look at the suggestion above made by KIORA he has some good idea for a card you can put in to help with these matchups.

This seems like a good suggestion. Even though I am definitely an advocate for Teron Gorefiend he is useless against anything that can remove him without triggering the deathrattle (mage transform, rogue sap minion, etc) and if that happens you lose all that value from the minions he was supposed to resummon.
I'm going to try this but instead... keeping the Raging Felscreamer and removing Mankrik... Mankrik doesn't have as much value and synergy in this deck as the Felscreamer does.

You've got to aim to play Teron Gorefiend early on... even just to get one extra bonus "deathrattle" you are generating value. I think at most I only ever get 1 - 2 minions with him, and it feels fine for 3 mana... a lot of value but you definitely have to be aware when he is in your hand.
There are definitely match ups where his value is minimalized... (mage, mostly) you can always solo drop him to the board, effectively "throwing him away" when you are up against Mage too they usually will transform it so got to be careful with that.

I unfortunately hit a wall with this deck finally... the normal Gold 5 hell. Just came back after a few months off, just rode this deck from Bronze to Gold. I highly suspect the meta has just shifted a bit in my rank-area and I'm hoping to pick deathrattle DH up again once I dig out of this ranking with my face hunter deck which is performing really well. I played around with some experimentation seeing what adding a Coilfang Warlord felt like... I was just getting disappointing results with Death Speaker Blackthorn ... I think the limit of 5 mana or under deathrattle minions makes it feel weak against some of the other aggro-wide swing explosion decks out there right now. The spell mage deck gets a ton of face damage in before we can really set up as well. I had to take a break from this deck and go back to my roots as a face hunter haha. Updated the face hunter deck I was running to the OTK hunter deck that's floating out there right now... with amazing results hits harder and faster then deathrattle DH atm...

I like Teron Gorefiend. He has way more synergy and value with this deck then Kurtrus Ashfallen. I've had much success with my substitutions, but I have noticed a few losses where some extra taunt minions would have made a difference... so I will add back +2 Renowned Performer and take out the Kor'vas Bloodthorn and the Mankrik. I have found these last two cards sort of lacking in value... Illidari Studies comes in clutch almost any time I have it in hand and has synergy with this deck so I wouldn't want to take it out.
Edit: After making these changes played against the Poison Dagger Rogue deck and I used every last taunt minion to stay alive from this massive dagger every turn lmao...
