Deathlord was cheaper and the downside is a Deathrattle not a Battlecry. Thats why this is not so good as the old lord.
On the other Hand, it is a mech and in the past, you can try to manage the outcome of deathrattle of the Deathlord. Now it is pure RNG.
Overall, in my opinion it is near similar and Deathlord see some play, also here, but only in a few decks. in wild maybe a good tool für mech-oriented decks (mechwarper rules !)
only EU, all heroes are golden, some if this was hard work 4 me (rogue) and i wait a while that the meta work well with my playstyle and the class. wins till now: overall wind 14382 (1.598 per class in the middle)
warlock 2530 - warrior 2126 - paladin 2086 (my favorite Classes over the time)
hunter 1677 - druid 1409 - mage 1324 (all near the middle of wins per class)
shaman 916 - priest 779 - rogue 667 (play significant less then the average)
I play beside a little Handy Game named "Empire and Puzzles" beside Hearthstone. This was sold for over 600.000.000 Euros. Why?
Because the can motivate the players to much mircotransactions and that is the point that blizzard would have. Things that bring the Players more Fun AND they pay more or the same money as last year was the focus of blizzard. All The Speach about "bring in new players in" or "how can we hold the f2p Players in the game" is only true if you hear that they whisper "because some part of this people pay later".
And: It is ok, because blizzard is a company and not blizzard-care ;)
To the Ideas of the Discussion: I think the Guild-System is fair for both sides. And I think we sould have some Guild Wars after that. The Guild will bring in some Group-dynamic pressure to the members to have good decks to compete with other Guilds and that means that the members will pay for that AND have fun with this competitive format. It bring in some teamspirit and you the players don´t leave the game fast. All what Blizzard want and that´s why they should think about it.
What will ne need in for this:
a) Rewards only for Guildwars, Games with Guild Members .... cardbacks like the legendary one ... some with gold, most of it cosmetic
b) A Tourney-Mode like the Members want for years now. It the Guild-System works, it it easy to manage tourneys without guilds it the want.
c) With the last prio a new chat or mail system to communicate. I Think they sould cooperate offical with discord or somethink else or ignore this because the members will use teamspeak ... like in other games.
Region: EU Usual Play Times: normaly in the evening, most after 20:00 GMT, but some in the morning 7:00-7:30 Level of Experience: Advanced, Reach Legend 3 Times since one of the first seasons, actually over 14.000 wins, most in standart Preferred Heroes: i play all Heroes, often i play 1-3 decks for a longer time (3-4 Month) with some adjustations. most was warlock with 2500 wins, rogue and priest only 650-750 wins I’m Looking For: a Teacher (best german speaking, C4mlann was till now the best one) and partner to test decks and ideas, maybe a group Tell us something about you: Hell, i am 50 years old ;o) ... tons to tell, and most of it i remember ;o) --- But for now: I play Chess since 35 years on tourney level (Elo 2080) and i see some parallels, if i ignore the RNG. More like poker.

very good because every oppovent now must think about "work my AOE well ?"
Aggro Paladin against Priest and after "Hey, i have Lifesteal and kill all" ... comes uuuupppppsss ;)
Or Wild Pyro and Eqality ... (will +2 befor or after the equaliy effekt?)
