laadeedaa posted a message on Its time to remove the Jaraxxus + Sac Pact interactionPosted in: General DiscussionOr... If you're playing against a deck that has Zephyrs, don't play Jaraxxus until they play Zephyrs.
That seems far more reasonable than having Blizzard change game code that literally effects no one!

FortyDust posted a message on Its time to remove the Jaraxxus + Sac Pact interactionPosted in: General DiscussionMaybe the Warlock should try not to play Jaraxxus when they know the opponent is a singleton deck? Just a thought.
Just because you have it in your deck doesn't mean you have to play it. It certainly doesn't mean you have an absolute god-given right to play it and win because you played it.
If you're dumb enough to play into this interaction, you deserve to lose.
Quote from TheArcanist236 >>I hate the fact that there is always a card that somehow forces Jaraxxus out of meta. For the last two years, poor Jaraxxus' slot in decks was overtaken by Bloodreaver Gul'dan, and now, when Death Knights finally rotated, they print Zephrys just to make Jaraxxus unplayable for the next two years. And I'd really like to see a deck with Jaraxxus in it which is meta-viable.
What you really need is a time machine, then. Jaraxxus was everywhere for the first couple of years of the game. People who played back then are understandably tired of seeing it.
If Jaraxxus were still playable and as popular as it was back then, people would be calling for it to be sent to the Hall of Fame.

Aeris posted a message on Why is "everyone" pretending that Wild Mode will not even exist?Posted in: General DiscussionLovely how people always make their own interpretation of a post. They won't make wild available if it is broken. You can say a lot of bad things about blizzard, but they never release a broken game. No, not a broken game. But a broken mode. Played the 1 cost minion Brawl lately? Miracle Rogue totally WAS broken. Wait 2-3 expansions/adventures, and Wild will have similar stuff, maybe a Mech deck because new Mechs are not balanced regarding Mechwarper, TInkertown Tech, etc.; maybe some demon stuff (now that Mal'Ganis and Voidcaller are no longer factors to consider in balancing); or something totally different. You get the idea. But it is guaranteed it WILL happen, the only question is how many expansions it takes. -

Aeris posted a message on Are you a FTP user??? Here is how I've beaten Hearthstone!!!Posted in: General DiscussionDid I spend a single cent in the process??? WELL, NO!!! Did I play 24/7 for 8 consecutive months? HELL, NO!!! I have a full-time job, a girlfriend, I do calisthenics 4 times a week and I am also a piano player. The real difference between me and the regular HS player is that I have a positive mindset.I'm not lying, take a look here ===> http://imgur.com/lmUhVLp
Well, ~5700 wins in 8 months is an average of ~24 wins/day. Considering there are days where you have no time at all to play, or just do the daily real quick, this is a pretty impressive score.Let's say, on average you get 5 wins/hour, this means ON AVERAGE you play 5 hours PER DAY.No, not 24/7, literally. But much more than the average casual player will do, and you make it look as if you'd just play... maybe an hour per day or something like that. -

Aeris posted a message on Epic Guaranteed packsPosted in: General DiscussionQuote from tictactucroc >>Quote from Blue_Banana_whotookthisname >>Average dust per pack is 100, just saying.
Yeah well that is including the really crazy super rare packs, and assuming you would dust everything. The reality is quite different.Average means average. You'll get some of those crazy super rare packs in the long run. Once you openend ~100 packs, your average will be pretty close to 100 already, simple statistics. If you don't dust everything you even get more value, since those cards basically provide their crafting value to your collection, instead of their disenchant value. So the actual dust value per pack indeed is higher than 100, unless you have all cards and disenchant 100% for that reason. -

Psy_Kik posted a message on What are people worried about? (Regarding standard/wild)Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from BigFatMurloc >>So you havent read any thread about this in the last 2 days and come here to ask weird things. Theres reason behind the shittstorm.

Came home from my vacation today so I just read about it and I'm completely overwhelmed with all the negative threads, so a slight explanation could be in order.I can't speak for others but for me I'm worried they won't care enough about Wild mode, that they'll break it possibly with the very next expansion, therefore there will be no where functioning to play with our larger card collections outside of tavern brawls. Blizzard hasn't been exactly great at balancing this game with speedy nerfs or buffs to cards that needed it. Now they have an excuse - "It deosn't matter that this new card is totally OP, it'll be wild only before you know it". -

Horkinger posted a message on From a Dust value standpoint, is it worth buying Naxxramas with gold?Posted in: General DiscussionQuote from ZiombalaBoms >>If you buy many many boosters and dust everything you get, the average dust value of 1 booster is 105 dust.
Source (http://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Card_pack_statistics)
If you buy whole Naxxramas and dust whole Naxxramas you spend 3500 gold, earn 2770 dust.
The source actually states that the average dust value of a pack is 97.8 dust. But still better value than dusting the whole of Naxx. However, if one ever want to play wild, I can only recommend buying naxx with gold. Alone from not dusting Loatheb and Shade of Naxxramas you save 2400 dust (by not having to craft them). On top of the other great (but cheaper) Cards like Sludge Belcher , Nerubian Egg , ...plus, you get to disentchant a couple of not so good Legendaries and Epics -

Duskbreaker, Dragonfire Potion, Holy Nova, Psychic Scream and Obsidian Statue might disagree.

Here, I'd even go a step further. Free-to-play for me means that it's possible to get all the content for free when you put enough time into it. Money just acts as a substitute for invested time. At the current release rate of expansions, it's impossible to have a full collection as F2P even if you grind the maximum amount of gold every single day.

Just stopped reading there. I don't want to defend this "F2P crying" because it's really annoying but dude, you have no idea what an "average player" is. Rank 5 is for the top 2% of the players. Making 100 gold a day is insane. It literally takes 2+ hours of play daily. Those aren't average numbers, those are top 2% of the community numbers.
Even during my most addicted phase of HS gaming I never managed to save up more than 4000 gold for an expansion. I have no idea how you manage to do 12000.

One of the funniest lethals I had in this game so far

I have no idea why people consider KaC bad, maybe it's because the legendary weapons suck. But most of the other cards they revealed are insane: Shaman Legendary, the mage Spellstone and Raven, Zola the Gorgon, Temporus might end up being awesome, the Cube certainly is.
This expansion will have a huge impact.

Bane of Doom.

So a 19 dmg 10 cards combo? Seems useful...

It singlehandedly wrecks jade druid, otk priest (Inner Fire & pw:shield), Evolve shaman (which is just about to get a thing with the new deathknight thrall), secret pala (all the secrets lol) and whatever else.
