As somebody that plays Rogue often, I would have to agree. The matchup feels slightly in your favor so long as you're combo'ing your cards and stealing decent cards.
Let's lighten the forum up a bit and free it from the constant "I HaTe AgGrO wTf BlIzZaRd".
Anyway, back to the topic: what have you spent your precious dust on? Golden legendaries? Epics for a certain deck?
Personally, I crafted Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and Whizbang on day 1, as I only opened around 25 packs with gold and got Myra Rotspring as my gift and The Boomship in my pack opening. Since I really love Rogue, I crafted Myra's Unstable Element (sorta regretting it now) and later decided to craft Zilliax for my deathrattle Rogue. What about the rest of you?
Let's open this up for discussion, as I really do not understand how this card has not been changed/nerfed let alone why it was printed. Druid's innumerable tools for draw/armor gain/mana ramping are just straight up unfair. I'm sure that if you're reading this either 1) you've suffered that dreadful "38 mana" turn, where they drop Oakheart on curve and you're faced with an unclearable board (unless you're a Priest and have Psychic Scream) or 2) you've laughed at the opponents helplessness after playing the card yourself and basically winning the game. It's just so hard to respond to especially if they've ramped 2-3 mana, on top of the brokenness of Branching Paths and UI. Druid itself easily topples over any other class except maybe Warlock, and I do not understand how nothing has been done about it.
I'm just trying to mix it up as I'm just bouncing between ranks 1-3, but it seems that there are no good Priest decks out there? It seems to be that all of them have a below-average winrate, and it really does not help that Rogue has been on the rise all of season 51. I just refuse to play Warlock and Paladin, especially Odd Pala, to climb to Legend.
I feel like I'm walking in quicksand. I'm not a great Hearthstone player, but I've played every day for three years and I know how the game works. I've managed to build a large collection of cards over time. I read websites and watch pro streams. I started this season at Rank 15, and made no progress with Spiteful Druid post-nerf. I switched to Spell Hunter, but couldn't win more than one game in a row. Win a game, lose a game. Win a game, lose a game. Win a game, lose a game. Talk about consistency!
Now I see that people are playing Recruit Hunter. I put this deck together and play it. Finally some traction! I get to the verge of Rank 13, and go on a seven game losing streak all the way back to Rank 15. WTF?
For people hitting Legend every month, how many games do you play in a season? 300? 500? 1000? With Tier 1 decks having win rates under 60%, how is anyone making any progress?
I've also been running a Recruit Hunter deck on the ladder with a lot of success (75% WR, currently at rank 3: 1 star), and the climb never really seemed to slow down up until about yesterday at rank 5. I reached rank 4 and then shot back down to rank 5: no stars, and then late at night hit rank 3. I've been playing since the very first season but never had interest in making a Legend push, but now that I am back after 2 years away from the game, I've learned that it's not about what you're holding rather what your opponent is holding. Games can be won just by knowing if they have their combo cards, what kind of removal they could have, how much burst they're holding, the list goes on. I've played chess my entire life and started viewing the game in a similar fashion. Think 3-4 turns ahead, what's your curve like? What are your outs? What will they play once you complete your turn? Can you anticipate trades and make favorable ones or know that you're in a winning position in a matchup and can go face (can you tell I don't play aggro)? There's so many more things to think about, but if you're not actively doing it and only clicking for clicks sake then you're at a huge disadvantage. Another is can you keep up tempo? Will the opponent out-tempo you and can you make a play in the future to gain it back? Just don't tilt if you RNGesus isn't on your side ever, if you're making the right plays really RNG doesn't matter because it's out of your control. If you don't draw that card or don't get that roll, it's ok, just keep playing and remember that will happen VERY often, if this upsets you then this game isn't for you. Not tilting is important because tilt causes you to make stupid plays while not completely thinking through a turn. Let it go and move on and never concede unless your opponent is already hitting your face with lethal. Just my 2 cents.
Lol @ everybody saying that the deck is fine and the card is fine. I agree, I really think that Blizzard did it's job of giving Shaman some tools to be meta and that they gave the class the ability to use the battlecry archetype, which honestly I had not seen in a while. The problem is not even losing to the deck and yes it is a tier 3 deck, but even if you survive the initial combo the turn that it is played, you might as well concede as they'll trigger it every coming turn multiple times. I had a game where they actually had to play it 4 times in a turn to kill me, albeit it was off of Lifedrinker's battlecries, which is just ridicidulous and broken considering that I should have won the game if he didn't heal for 20+ every damn turn. Something needs to be done because even other combo decks suffer, and more aggro is simply not the answer in any meta seeing that it just sweats in your face and smorcs.
I crafted both basically from scratch with all the legendary and epic cards, and I can safely say that Recruit Hunter is much more fun and competitive than Spell Hunter. Although both decks are very cheesy and greedy in their own way, Recruit Hunter can be a forced to be reckoned with once you can pilot and mulligan each matchup correctly. Spell Hunter you basically have to have the nuts every turn and you’re praying that the opponent can’t clear your board while you smorc them away. Although I think the mirror goes to spell Hunter if they can fully charge spell stone and drop it on curve, I would consider crafting Recruit simply because it’s not as gimmicky especially considering Rhok’Delar gives you useless cards half of the time. If you just want to try it because it’s a minion less deck then I recommend it as the RNG in it can be so fun with Animal Companion, Rhok’Delar, and To My Side!. Personally, I used Spellhunter between rank 20 and 15 then decided I needed something more solid and crafted Recruit and now I’m sitting at Rank 4. Since you don’t have an overwhelming around of dust lying around and you’re F2P, I would say craft a meta deck for your favorite class otherwise you might end up regretting it, or simply just something as OP as Recruit Hunter :-). Best of luck!!

Shield Slam, Keeper of the Grove, and 3 commons. Not bad I suppose.

You obviously love playing Shaman so just craft Hagatha; you don't really need Zola even though she can fit in many decks.

Just keep playing the same deck unless you're getting completely crushed or you see too many counters flying around.
