This changes nothing. You just have to wait one extra turn before you inevitably get one-turn-killed by DH without beeing able to do jack shit.

This extra turn is exactly what an aggro deck need to win, if a deck become vulnerably to aggro then the balance will work.

    Combo > Control > Aggro > Combo.

The problem happens when a combo is so powerful and fast the deck don't lose vs aggro anymore.

Exactly. 6 Mana is the last turn you possibly have vs Aggro. Which is why Reno Jackson costs 6 Mana

posted a message on Nerfs Have Been Revealed

Kael'thas Sunstrider is put in check by these nerfs, you all just have no idea how drastic a cost increase is. It is the hardest way to nerf a card without reworking it completly.

Bad Luck Albatross is dead. No one pays 4 Mana for a 4/3 do nothing immediately. People didn't even realize, but in their comment, Blizzard was mocking the people that played BLA "If you want to win games, you don't put BLA in your deck". Essentially, they criticized the people for playing a card that just feels good, but isn't even that strong. They didn't speak it out, but they did infer here that many Hearthstone players are not really on the bright side...They just killed the card so that people stop crying.

Frenzied Felwing is weaker now but it's still free tempo. Free cards are always strong, see Corridor Creeper, who continued to see play in Odd Paladin despite its nerf.

Altruis the Outcast is dead. Mana cost increases are the hardest way to hit a card, but unlikely Kael, Altruis ability isn't that busted.

Battlefiend is now a fine Standard card, but for Wild the card is dead.

Glaivebound Adept, not much will change here. The card isn't that strong anyways. Comparable to Blackwing Corruptor, which never broke the game. 5 Mana 5/4 deal 3 was fine, but 6 Mana 7/4 deal 4(+1) was considered broken????? Okay......

Sacrificial Pact is great. The card is kept for WIld, but no longer limiting design space for Standard.

Libram of Justice The  card is very strong now.

BloodbloomOnly a temporary fix. It limits design space for Warlock a lot. They can never print a high value 10-Cost spell for Warlock like UI is for Druids. Otherwise they are going to cast this on turn 4....Cost should have been at least 5 Mana.

Open the WaygateAhhh...Ummm.....Blizz you targeted the wrong deck. This nerf hits Reno Quest Mage, which is a Top Tier deck, but still leagues below the actual Quest Mage who can stil easily complete the Quest due to Cyclones and Evokation. Should have been 10 Spells, considering the Spells you generate are mostly 0-3 Mana, that's still not that much.

posted a message on Sac Pact, Albatross, Kael'thas & Felwing Nerfs - Dean Ayala

    2020:

A vanilla stat 3 drop with no immediate impact on the board, with no immediate impact at all to be precise, is believed to be breaking the game.

By increasing it's cost, BLA will become unplayable. You just don't pay 4 Mana for a 4/3 with no impact on the board or card generation/draw for you.

"If you are really only interested in winning games, you should take Albatross out of your deck"

This is basically Blizard telling their community that they.... well I have to put this mildly...Well basically it is Blizzard telling their fans that they lack intellect.

It is them saying we only nerf the card because you cry so much, but it is actually completly fine and you all just have no idea about the game. People only use the card because it is cheap and feels good. Not because it is actually good.

And to be honest...Well the content is harsh, even though formulated politically correct. But basically, they are right. People just have no idea how to play this game. I've seen Aggro decks wasting their ressources on the enemy's board until the late game. I have seen people miss lethal when they had two Fireballs in hand and I was at 12 Health. I've seen people conceding against me even though they were winning the game...

I think many people actually need to ask themselves, "Is it really the game that is unbalanced, or am I just bad?". And I think in the majority of cases, it is the latter.

Guys, you need to realize that a Mana cost nerf is the hardest way to hit a card. Warsong commander was not a nerf, it was a rework, meaning the current card has absolutely nothing to do with the original card.

The other suggestion would be a very soft nerf, casting one UI or Overflow in a turn is usually enough, you can't cast more anyways or you overdraw.

It's a bottom tier deck right now.

It was already only Tier 3 when Barnes got nerfed.

If you still have problems facing Big Priest with a meta deck, you likely have major misconceptions about how to play the game.

I think only those age 18 or older should be allowed to play. In addition, I also think only those who have an IQ over 100 should be allowed to play.

Trust me, the game would be a better one!

With statements like this i wish Hearthpwn also had the "shitpost" flag as reddit does.

These are exactly the card they said they have a very close look at.

Oh dear. Yes, these are the cards they said they have a look at, that is why we are talking about them.

I think they should balance the game by having every player pass an IQ test before they are allowed to install it. The quote above is the reason why.

People with a low IQ only get to play with basic cards in their own separate matchmaking queue.

The idea of this thread is such bullshit. If RNG was rigged, hackers would find out, then Blizz would be ruined.

posted a message on Was DH really a problem?..

As a Wild player (Currently Diamond 3), the class honestly was just fine upon release, but became very weak with the nerfs and will certainly be unplayable with further nerfs.

If a completly new class with a much smaller cardpool compared to the others is doing just fine in Wild on release day means it must have been broken af for standard. BUT I think the main fault wasn't actually the DH class cards. If they are doing just fine in Wild, that means the cards can't have been overpowered.

Rather the problem is a much different one: They focused too much on DH, disregarding the other classes too much. And that at the start of a new standard year, when all the classes were loosing half of their stuff.

The year of the Dragon was much more powerful than its preceding Standard years as every expansion also greatly changed Wild. Usually we get only one or two new playable cards per meta deck, but in the year of the Dragon we got like 5 or six new or returning meta DECKS per expansion.

Now with Ashes of Outland everything is back to normal. Aside from the new DH class, no new decks have sparked, and every existing meta deck got its one or two playable new cards.

In other words, alltogether Ashes of Outland is a weak expansion, and most of the good stuff is shifted too much towards Demon Hunter, while all the other classes got the lesser end of the stick.

i wish they would change that because he's a hero card before they actually called them hero cards. Also i know he's more of a meme than anything but it's so nice to have an opponent think he's beaten you and then play him.

What? Jaraxxus is not a hero card. What are you talking about? He is a minion with a very special battlecry, which is a different thing.

I  wish they changed him to an actual hero card, as he was never intended to be a minion even though he occationally appeared as one. Remember, he does NOT appear when random demons are summoned or discovered afaik.

I hoped he would become viable once Bloodreaver Gul'dan rotated, but that proved to not be the case for a card which was once the ultimate anti-control grinding tool.

I think he does appear just regularly, but the last time I played Bane of Doomwas in Classic times, and I mainly play Wild, which has very large minion pools so I can't check. He definitely was added to my hand somehow in a recent game I played, I just forgot with which class, but I won :)

Back in the day, him being a minion was a good thing for Handlock to combat aggro, since he too would be summoned from Voidcaller, could be given Taunt, and with his 15 Health was beyond their removal range. You wouldn't have gotten to turn 9 anyways.

posted a message on Demon Hunter being this OP was probably done intentionally to get people to waste their dust
    Quote from scout1515 >>

When the expansion released, you either craft the demon hunter deck or you pretty much don't win. 2 days later a nerf is pushed out that affects 2 rare cards that are dustable (the epic isn't dustable since it was given for free), and the legendaries you had to craft to play this deck are now worthless.

The change could've at least been announced to be a few weeks from now so you could at least have a chance to actually use the deck you just crafted.

When a nerf is done this fast it leads me to believe that the changes were ready to go and they had planned it in advance, since there was basically no time to play test the nerf, and we weren't even given time for the meta to settle to see how things pan out.

The nerf were mostly done that fast because Blizzard has actually become scared off their erratic and toxic community. Blizzard "fans" are really the worst of any gaming community I have experienced in all my life (Fortunately, I don't play shooters lol).

Last year, Bliizard received much ridiculously overblown critique:

First, the "Bliztchung scandal". Let me make this clear, what Blizzard did was not nice, but it was right. There is a reason why politics stay out of sport events. Imagine a soccer player from a dictatorship uses an official event to criticize his governemnt, next day he dissappears, murdered. Wars could start over that! What Blitchung did was the most Anti-Sports thing any sportsmen had done in the past decade, and didn't just endanger himself, but also all gamers in China.

Next the Diablo mobile game: There are thousands of Diablo clones from questionable publishers with subpar graphics and lame gameplay, but an average score of 4.5 stars and comments like "great game". Granted, a mobile game was not what the Diablo fans expected, but who hates their publisher for announcing a game that they would otherwise play? Only Blizzard fans!

Then Warcraft 3: Reforged and granted, the criticism here is more justified. However even here you have criticism like "They didn't change anything in the campaign", when the original campaigns are already a masterpiece that shouldn't have been altered anyways.

Lastly, the Hearthstone community... I don't even have any words left to describe that. If people behave in real life like they behave here, then 90% of this board needs to get hospitalized for severe mental illness. And I am not trying to be funny here.

posted a message on Baku and Genn, Justicar Trueahart for demon hunter

Baku DH sounds broken beyond measure. It's like you play a normal Baku deck but get Genn on top of it. Fortunately, DH's small card pool will make the class very weak in Wild for the first few months, but eventually, this will become very problematic.

That would actually be pretty cool, especially since it seems that Blizzard has dropped Murlocs for Warlocks.

Dude, what are you talking about? Demon Hunters already have a murloc: Furious Felfin. -.-

For an Archetype to form, one needs both member cards and support cards. All classes have Beasts, but only Hunter and Druid can do more with them.

Yes, and the sky is blue, thanks for letting me know... -.- I was just pointing out that you obviously missed the fact Demon Hunters already have a murloc in their aresenal, that's all. You didn't mention anything about murlocs in the opening post, which clearly demonstrates that.

Or maybe I didn't mention it as it has no relevance as it hardly constitutes an archetype? You honestly come off as kinda rude here, despite this being just a fun thread.
