There is no information about whether there is duplicate protection on coins; i.e. whether you will stop getting coins for a particular merc once you have bought all available upgrades for it.
Now that the game mode is out, have you found out how it works?
2 mana deal 8 dmg, 4 mana 2 cards deal 16 dmg, seems good, I think every angro deck will want this, especially with all the draw tools rogue has. This card alone isn't a big deal, but this card is perfect for fast rogue play style and will make for a strong deck with all the other cards. I approve it.
Simple enough answer: because people are buying them daaaaaaaaaa and because people that don't buy them don't mind them being in the game. Also, people that wanted a super fair F2P sistem already either left or accepted the situation. HS is a great game, but I took it too seriously for a time.
I'm not trying to defend blizzard, they are greedy assholes (as a company), but people seem to be ok with it so they keep pushing the limit. Again, this shit is a game, I'm not paying anything right now so I don't give flying fuck about it.
On a serious note: accept that the way people play ranked is competitive netdecking, by chance you will encounter the 10-20% of the players that play fun decks probably in bronze league, so either don't pass bronze league or play unranked. There the percentages are a lot better.
I used to think the same. I haven't made a gold calculus, but you didn't took into account the free extra guaranteed legendary. How much you value a legendary from a set, that's the question. 400 dust, 1600? I'd say about 700-800 dust, if I had to choose between a 8 packs and a random legendary, I'd take the legendary no question asked. (also, the statistics say that a pack contains ~98 dust in average if you were to disenchant everything. So in avg 1g=1dust and 1 pack=100dust=100g). If you see it this way, the new system is slightly better for even the mid and top tier. Also the mid and top tier would like a random legendary even more considering the duplicate protection. Also, add in the arena thickets (another 120g in value).
For me, I'd say I'm mid, lvl ~175, played a lot less then any other expansion. Got the 2k miniset, 2 heroes (3k g), and i'm still at ~7k profit this expansion. The best I ever had was 10k before and I used to play a lot more. Conclusion: another 10% xp for lvlup nerf would settle this discussion once and for all.

That's true, current time Uther is a Kyrian. Also, fun fact, there were two Gul'Dan that both died. One was killed by

It's so nice they add new portraits that we can earn in game, oh wait.

That's true, but if you have all the Standard legendries that means ...

Hearthstone is not only P2W, but also P2L now.
