The deck would be too greedy in that way and it would lose all games against Aggro. Wild ladder is made out most of Aggro decks and some Reno Priests. Void Lord is a staple in Warlock and it will be for a very long time.

Djerv posted a message on #3 wild legend s45 CubelockPosted in: #3 wild legend s45 CubelockThis deck is crazy good. 8-0 atm, starting at rank 10. It crushes silver hand paladins and any priest if you play it right. When it comes to Faceless Manipulator, this card is a GOD in control matchups. Against aggro we win if we stay calm and mulligan for Defile, Darkbomb and even Voidcaller can make the win against aggro :D Thanks for the deck and good luck :)
PS: If you for some reason only play against aggro decks, switch out Emperor Thaurissan and Faceless Manipulator with 2x Mistress of Mixtures

Shawn1mac posted a message on There are Nine Tri-Class Cards in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan - Dev Interview w/ Dean AyalaPosted in: NewsYou know, Blizz, its getting harder and harder to love you when you blatantly lie and make stupid as shit excuses for your laziness.
"No pre-order cardback cuz of Blizzcon Craziness" what does that even mean? Blizzcon caught you off guard, so you didn't have time to design one? Did the Tasmanian devil whirlwind his way through your office and destroy your cardback designs? To me, it sounds like you guys just couldn't be bothered to make one so said "fuck it, we'll just make an excuse"
You nerfed Molten Giant because of Handlock? Bullshit, nobody even plays Handlock these days in competitive, its been a dead deck for ages and you guys are just going to leave it that way, aren't you?
Really wish you guys could be more transparent and honest instead of treating us like we have room-temperature IQ's -

You could go jaraxxus instead. This gives you enough value to beat dragon priest and jade shaman, but it is worse against jade druid and other renolocks.

if you want the most competitive deck you can look up any pro's list. This is more meant for fun and not serious climbing. If you want my opinion on a good list look at stancifka's.

Indeed.

Fair point, I actually swap in Eater of Secrets when I'm facing these classes a lot, too. But that's the nature of a tech card right? You put it in when you need it and take it out when you don't. Those classes are popular enough to make eater a core card but it feels a lot worse to drop naked compared to mc tech when your against a class that doesnt play secrets. I dont think Mc Tech is that situational anymore with almost every class that doesn't flood the board playing n'zoth. MC + shadowflame is devastating after your opponent drops N'zoth.

I"ll keep it in mind :)

1 mana cycle and do something is a very good card. Sludge belcher is a ubiquitous card in wild so it also helps twilight drake and shredder to trade into cleanly.

Reno combo vs murloc paladin is probably my favorite match in wild even though who wins is simply decided by who pulls off their combo first. Before the last fix to murlocs you could sometimes faceless an old murkeye after they drop the first anyfin and give them a taste of their own medicine. Now you just want to get to end of your deck before they do and find Leeroy/p.o/Faceless. This means tapping almost every turn and finding ways to empty out your hand efficiently so you can continue tapping.
If you knew it was murloc paladin it would be correct to keep emperor since he is so vital in this match. The only pressure you need to put on them is to put them at 20 so leeroy combo is lethal. If you can put more thats great because if they are dealing with your board they aren't developing their own game plan of drawing and killing off murlocs. They usually run forbidden healingx2 so save alex for after they have used at least 1. Sludge belcher, argus, and loatheb can delay anyfin lethal so I usually save these cards for the late game instead of playing them on curve.

I believe both are too slow. Right now, for me at least, freeze mage is much much more common than control warrior, so I prefer alex. Same with mountain giant, you need minions on the board on turns 2 and 3, tapping to play an 8/8 on 4 is just too slow. The deck can definitely be changed to fit your needs, if you feel you're facing a lot of priests and control warriors than jaraxxus would be excellent.
2
Yes but I think you will struggle against freeze mage.

Alexstrasza definitely isn't necessary for the deck to work but is uniquely powerful in being able to heal yourself and put an 8/8 on the board that turn or lower your opponent to 15 then possibly being able to kill them with a sizable board and p.o. from hand; or setting up to kill them with leeroy and p.o./faceless on a later turn.
For ladder I would recommend replacing it with ooze/ eater of secrets/ spellbreaker/ brann/ farseer depending on what you are facing. Jaraxxus is the closest card in replicating what alex does but I prefer alex because it gets a bigger body down immediately and the deck is already very greedy.
