So is this they brand new game mode they talked about! If so what an utter let down.
No, this is the "New Solo Experience". "New Game Mode" is a separate thing on the Year of the Phoenix Roadmap, and I have no evidence, but I'd personally bet they plan to launch it around when Blizzcon would be, like they did with Battlegrounds
If you're enjoying it and playing a lot, and assuming they continue the frequency of updates they have, I don't think an optional 16 cents a day for some small bonuses is asking too awfully much. They gotta make money somehow
Because of all the rewards you get along the way as you rank up, if people were not set all the way down and able to get them all, there would be such a shitstorm
Build either a thief priest or rogue, not just with the good cards, but with all the cards you can find to steal or generate random stuff. It won't be great, you won't win much, but at least ever game will be different and interesting
Did anyone play Shifting Scroll after the first week? No! The unpredictability makes this card unplayable. When you have the mana to play it, you have to deal with something on the board, .... or the legendary at the time is useless ... or you hope for something better ... or you have a better option ... or ...
This wont see play after the first week.
It's not going to be a super effective competitive card. But comparing it to Shifting Scroll is bad, because while both are unpredictable, the scroll offered no possible bonus or advantage to either tempo or value, while this card will very often be terrible and you'll be upset it's in your hand, it can at least have the possibility of high-rolling

The pure paladin cards don't say "only paladin" they say "no neutral" so you'll be fine

I'm a big fan of that purple soul skull art

Secrets are only active on your opponent's turn. That's why they are colorful then, and blacked out on your turn

Dislike. But it's fine, I just won't watch any. And hopefully the people who choose to watch enjoy it.

I feel like if you're getting upset, it would be pretty easy to, like, not click on a thread you know you're not gonna like :D

It's a great card. You just have to make sure you roll King Krush every time, that's the trick
