It's situational pick and can be a bit tricky to use. The total value of damage over mana in two turns is 10/7. Also, it is huge chunk of mana cost, which you could play other cards you need like Skull of Guldan or Imprisoned Antaen. It is also crucial to have cards that have control over early to mid game while Metamorphosis is decent, not impactful. I think it is good to have Metamorphosis at 1 or none. If there is a chance to make it good, the deck needs to revolve around hero power at least.
