You used to see abomination run in extremely heavy control decks on occasion. The reason it never really made the cut is because the stats weren't that strong and the 2 damage across the board was only good against extreme aggro. Chillmaw has a SIGNIFICANTLY better statline, isn't BGH-able, and deals 3 damage across the board instead of 2. I consider that extra point of damage to be EXTREMELY relevant. If that all wasn't enough, it fills a mana slot that didn't have a dragon in it previously. All in all, I'd say your assessment of this card is the only thing that's rubbish.

zorthander posted a message on Frost GiantPosted in: Frost GiantI totally want to see these giants develop in the metagame. They provide a new way of getting cheap giants into play without the risks of playing low-life/near-lethal with many opponents.
Maybe some decks will substitute the Molten Giants and be a little more controll-ish

Mauxil posted a message on Frost GiantPosted in: Frost GiantYou are right in a way, you can't think of a deck. You are probably thinking about the decks you already have, in which case, no it will not work well in them. But, Frost Giant is actually being released along with 131 other cards, many of which encourage the use of your hero power. Funny how that works!

HarIeyQuinn posted a message on Twilight GuardianPosted in: Twilight GuardianI guess you never played a Dragon deck... not so hard to get a dragon, specialy by turn 4.
And the fact that this guy is a Dragon himself also helps with other Dragon oriented cards in the deck, so it's a perfect add to Dragon decks. Also add's the so needed taunt in the so needed curve.

the main thing that disuades me from using this is the 3 health. maybe i am wrong but i would maybe want a 6/3 to ram into something as opposed to being something most aoe spells can kill. the upgraded hero power is nice but maybe charge would make it better or is that just too OP?

i like simply because warriors needed a low cost damage card. i like the armor bonus as well since this is better than the warlock's drain life as armor can be stacked at whatever health while healing can only heal up to 30. overall very good in both aggro and control as a lot of popular minions have 3 or less health.
