I just went against a rogue (not the best deck) and it ended on turn 10.  I got wiped on turn 4.  On turn 5 I played Star Fall and cleared his only creature on the board (The rest of his died trying to wipe my board).  On turn 6 I played Star Fire and killed his next big card.  On turn 7 I played Ancient of War and drew cards.  On turn 8 I played 2 Nerubian Eggs and a  Sould of the Forest.  On turn 9 I played Haunted Creeper, Poison Seeds, and Power of the Wild which filled my board with 2 2's, 3 3's and 2 5 5's.  On turn 10 I played 2 Savage Roars for the win.

That is how I see this deck working it is kind of impressive going from just 2 nerubian eggs to an entire board of creatures, but unsure if it works with the better decks.

posted a message on Question about a deck

New to posting.  I am not a bad player, but I am definitely not a great player and looking to better my game/deck building skills.

I tend to not like decks that rely on the "combo" unless of course they can make sure that combo occurs in their hand.  I have had some success with this deck http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/77129-token-experiment  in casual play, but I am pretty sure it would not stand up to where I am at in the ladder.

I do not have some key cards like Bloodmade Thalnos andNourish

    Any help would be appreciated.

I went mage (for the mass clears) and put only very simple cards in the deck.  The bulk of the deck consisted of owl, worgen rider, that 2 mana healer dude, some murlock with charge and that 1 1 draw a card gnome guy.  Oh had a mind control tech and big game hunter as well.  The only crazy card was a single pyroblast (because I do not own 2 of them)

All I did was play two creatures a turn at the beginning making sure I silenced them or healed myself.  I waited until I had the majority silenced then board cleared.  I had mirror image in the deck so I could build creature momentum after the first clear.  Since she always will start the turn by unsummoning two of your creatures I figured the key was to use spells for board control and use the creatures to continue to nail her.  I was pretty much guaranteed a heal, card draw, or silence every turn.  Eventually I got creature momentum at the end and finished her off.  Easy peasy

apcalkins: I had the same problem with zoo style deck because it didnt't have the offensive power to beat down her forces.  I made a priest deck that focuses on buffs.  What ever you guys call that.

I am chill, which is why I am taking a break, LOL.  Do you see me swearing and promising never to play again?

They do deserve a dig about the launch though.  :)

Just saw the post on Latency issues.  You are incorrect there is high latency in casual play as well.  I did not try rank, solo against inkeeper, or arena. The latency was very high in casual play..I forfeited the match couldn't take it.

Guys I wanted to thank you for the expansion.  I was able to complete the wing in normal mode and the class challenges before the lag coupled by a 3 year old head butting me got so infuriating that I had to stop.  I will try back once things settle down.

Oh just curious were you the firm that worked on healthcare.gov?

    Thanks
