Also, you don't always have the handspace or mana to cast Razorpetal Volley before you get your combo out on the board. Preparation allows you to get the razorpetals a turn earlier, which is important against aggro.  Also in a pinch you can waste the prep on turn 4 to activate minstrel, which is usually worth it especially if you already have the razorpetals or Sinister Strike in hand.

I mentioned earlier on that I was trying WANTED! in place of a Necrium Blade.  It's actually okay.  One problem with the consitency of this deck is that if you don't draw and activate an Elven Minstrel, you can just take too long to get the combo pieces.  When you go second it's easy to activate the minstrel with a coin.  But when you go first, I'm often finding I'm having to do sub-optimal things like prep-minstrel, just to make sure I'm getting everything going.  With WANTED! you can turn 4 wanted, and then usually turn 5 coin + minstrel (and hopefully use the spare mana to cast the Razorpetal Volley.  It's also helpful against aggro decks, since it adds additional removal.

Of course the problem with wanted is that it's generally a bad card, and there are probably better options if what you want to do is stall aggro.  Like add another evasion or a second sudden betrayal.  It also comes at the cost of making the shiny-finder more important, as you will draw a necrium blade less often.  Still, I'd be interested in hearing others experiences with deck tweaks.

I'm trying out putting Wanted in this at the cost of a necrium blade - gives a little more removal, and the coin might help to have the mana to do the combo.  It'll probably turn out to be a trash tweak, but I'll let you know!

How about cheat death?  Could help protect the kobold, and makes it 2 cheaper to put down again.

His star ratings are only for the current expansion sets in standard, so some of the old 1 stars were dead on. Things like Gul'dan only became usable when the next expansion added more demons. Overall though he generally has good reasoning, but no one can predict the meta entirely. Not many other reviewers takes rhe approacb he takes, so it's interesting looking at his reviews next to other streamers. He's also very open about being wrong with his rereviews.

His opinions line up with quite a few others this time too, although he does have a history of undervaluing flexibility so probably is undervaluing mechs.

It's worth comparing this to Ethereal Conjuror - it was 5 cost, 6/3, discover a spell. So is one extra mana worth the worse stats and only getting a 5+ cost spell?

Yeah, seems overcosted to me too.  Compare that to Ethereal Conjuror - same cost but 6/3, way more relevant stats. Then again maybe there's a class for which this would be OP?

I would be interested to see the calculations for the UK! The 80 pack deal is most certainly better than the 50 pack, since the price per pack is lower for the 80 pack deal. Not taking into account amazon coins.

Another way to save money is using Amazon coins. You can get up to 25% off in the UK, but on the 16th there is probably going to be a sale where you can get way more off. Not sure if that can be used in conjunction with paying in US, you might be able to buy Amazon coins on the US site too? Anyway if you can't, using coins will get you more saving than buying in US. Only thing to be aware of is you need to have HS installed via the Amazon app store. Mind you there's a way to do it without that, although I'm not sure what it is. Google will probably then up the answer.

 I'd encourage you to experiment and let us know actually. The deck list can still be improved, at least according to people who know more than me. So try different things in his place and see how they go.

Also, if you don't manage to draw your elementals, you can risk playing lich king and then next turn spell-stoning him.  Pretty much game over at that point!
