    The deck usually uses Hemet for this purpose, which actually helps get the Cataclysm and Mecha'thun. That being said, I was thinking that the comment meant to replace Bloodbloom + Cataclysm with Divide by Zero. In other words, you would play Mecha'thun and Divide by Zero as the last two cards in hand.

    It would be hard to benefit from tje deck destruction part. You would need a lot of 0 cost cards or be lucky enough to draw 1 or the combo cards with the other one as the only card in hand, all while having 10 mana.

     I think this makes a lot of sense myself. I can't see them straight up stealing Scry from MTG, but maybe if they tweak and rename it.

    I couldn’t help but hear the line “masters of plotting and scheming” in the teaser and think how much “Scheme” sounded like a real candidate for a new keyword. Possibly deck manipulation of some sort like the cards from the time event recently. 

    What do you think? What could Scheme be as a keyword.

    To Clarify:

    This mode would allow players to improve the "replayability" of older PVE content through a type of Achievement system. The achievements would be gained by completing quests given by NPC's unlocked with "prestige" points. These NPC's could be divided into wings based on the expansion PVE content they relate to. Quests requiring the player to play "purchase only" content would initiate the battle without purchasing or unlocking that content (but would not give the rewards besides the prestige for the quest).

    The mode could be expanded yearly with a new wing of NPC's for the set of Expansions from the previous year.

    The reward for this mode would be Prestige points which could be spent to buy things like older PVE content, hero skins, past card backs, exclusive cosmetics, etc.

    Well for example the three uncover cards you have are a beast weapon that resummons a minion. If you played those three and then cast uncover, what kind of card are you getting ..also the bit about the stats options is unclear. 

    As for chain, does each chain have its own trigger or will any set of commonalities trigger it? If it is specific, it should be made more clear, like:

    Chain Taunt minions to give them all Divine Shield.

    Or

    Chain 1-attack minions to give them all +1 attack.

    A core set doesn't mean that all of classic and basic are gone. I would recommend keeping basic as part of the core (might need a couple tweaks) and a good deal of the classic set would likely be in the core set as well. If the classic/basic sets are the current core set, you might only need to swap in and out ~25% of the cards each rotation. There are only a handfull of limiting/tech cards that need to be swapped to achieve a good sense of change to the meta.

    Also my recommendation of giving a discount in dust for new core set cards each rotation would help curb the p2w feel a lot.

    You can actually "close" the Hall of Fame if you move to a core set. I like the idea of making the core set more accessible to new players, but I don't like giving it to them just "bam" in one chunk. That sort of kills the progression beginners feel trying to build up their set. That being said the whole feel of progression needs to be improved anyway. Once you finish leveling your classes up to 10 and unlock all the basic cards, the progression feels way less exciting.

    What the devs need to do, is find a way to let players continue earning cards from the core set as they play. Honestly a large dust discount on crafting core set cards could work, a bigger discount depending on how "owned" the card is (determined before the core set is announced so the cost isn't skewed). So players who have to get cards that are new to the set but were otherwise owned by most players before the set can do so without getting punished too hard. If a card is new to the core set and was virtually never used before then the discount maybe as little as 10% but if the card is something widely owned like something from the classic set, it might be discounted by as much as 75%.

    Not all of the core set would rotate every year anyway, so this wouldn't be as big of an issue as it might seem. Also if you were a wild player, it would be like having a yearly dust sale allowing you to slowly expand your wild collection at a bit of a discount. Obviously the exact discount rates would need to be tweaked to make the system feel fair to all parties.

    Zola replaces elekk to allow an uther OTK while still allowing you to shuffle three shirvallahs into the deck. Not to mention it is far more flexible in non OTK matchups like vs odd pall. Where it can copy a wild pyro.
