Lol what a stupid OP card. Makes Y'shaarj completely broken, can also be played with Aviana. It's garbage in a sense that you can't ever play this card except through Y'shaarj or Aviana. I realized that its effect wouldn't trigger normally from Y'shaarj, but who cares.
Next: A card that interacts with an Old God, lets go with the competition theme.
Hey guys I just wanted some opinions on some of the ideas I had for this week's competition.
This card can be considered an alternative win condition in an N'zoth deck, though its battlecry is a lot weaker. Its point isn't to bring back strong minions with deathrattles, it's to bring back minions with strong deathrattles (Sylvanas, Cairne, Savannah, etc).
I was quite a fan of the idea of an "unplayable minion", and I took this chance to have a shot at it. This card will make Y'shaarj's effect a lot more reliable, which is where the problem with the Old God lies right now. It is also not playable just from picking it up; it needs cards like Thaurissan to be played outside Y'shaarj, which made aesthetical sense to me since Sha should come from Y'shaarj.
This means that Y'shaarj will always summon this minion if it is in your deck. This poses a threat in essence because it provides a guaranteed summon. The effect also gives this minion what you could call 'random taunt'; it will always be hit by random effects. This can be a good thing, it can also be a bad thing.
Next: A card with some kind of draw mechanism, as I know a lot of classes are draw thirsty.
Here's my entry for this week's competition. Remember how Wilfred summoned Jaraxxus instead of Doomguard? Well, this guy does what his master could not! It's a very weak stat for 2 mana with the same stat line as Jeweled Scarab, but a lot more priority target for your opponent. Most classes will just ping it away, but if they can't remove it, well they are in a big trouble. Warlock already has a great 2 drop with dark peddler, but he felt unbalanced at any other mana.
I think this is going to be a sleeper card like sludge belcher where everyone is going to be like "meh.." at first until a bunch of top players introduce it into constructed then it'll be one of those cards that's literally in every deck.
The large RNG factor makes it unlikely that it makes to many constructed decks. It's body is inferior to almost anything at 4 mana. It's like Ethereal Arcanist but with it's ability much less consistent. Mybe will see some niche use but will most likely end in fun decks only.
I think this one earns the "worst forecast ever" title though. "niche use".
And i think this entire thread must be pinned so its link can be easily copy pasted, everytime someone thrash talk early about a card in a new expansion.
Yeah really can't judge a card until it's in the meta, the meta game is too complicated for our little brains to be able to predict. We really have to wait until the release and the cards settle down and people experiment to see the full value of cards. Piloted Shredder and Dr. Boom were extremely misjudged on their release.

This is a deck that Trump has built...
