posted a message on Idea: Draw card at END of turn

    Responding to a few comments:

    • Obviously, you need to start with an extra card in your hand to keep the game balance
    • It does impact a FEW cards (like Clockwork Giant) but those cases are so marginal as to be meaningless
    • Mill strategies become very mildly more viable ...

The core idea is to give me a bit us a more to think about on the opponents turn (making their turn more interesting, maybe fewer people will "watch youtube"), which could help my turn (and the game) go a bit faster.

Another approach might be to not DRAW another card, but make it so that I can hover over my deck to see the next card - then there's no impact whatsoever on game mechanics.

posted a message on Idea: Draw card at END of turn

Here's a simple idea that could have a significant impact on the enjoyment of hearthstone, and speed it up a bit: Draw your card at the END of your turn instead of the start.

There are at least two major benefits:

    1. You plan out your turn during your OPPONENTS turn, giving you more to do than just watch your opponent play.

    2. Your own turn will go faster, because of #1, speeding up the whole game.

I can't think of any real downside, other than missing the "thrill" (or disappointment) of a great (or terrible) top-deck.

    Thoughts?

posted a message on which cards

It's not just the case for f2p players, I bought the pre-release bundle, + 100 packs from gold, and only opened 5 legendaries. I'm looking at all the popular decks and there's not one I have the needed legendaries for - and I don't want to risk valuable dust on a legendary that might not be good. Super super frustrating.

posted a message on These nerfs are not enough

I think you forgot to mention that in addition to nerfing druid and paladin, the should also nerf face warrior, shard demon hunter and aggro rogue. They're all too strong. My Chiliwind Yeti mage cannot compete.

What I don’t understand is why somebody who sees that his opponent has lethal and doesn’t want to watch more cards get played out wouldn’t concede.

Two clicks, even with a low APM it takes less than two seconds to concede. You could probably build a keyboard shortcut to do it in less time than it would take to write a salty 4 paragraph post.

posted a message on Scholomance is shaping up to be one of the best expansions ever

The power level of this set seems off the charts - if you meet the right conditions. Looks like we've moved on from old days of curvestone to swingstone ... which personally I think is more fun.
