AngryShuckie posted a message on Shifter ZerusPosted in: Shifter ZerusIt is a card game, so there is always RNG. You don't get to choose when you draw a card right?
So the better question is: is the RNG healthy? And i would say whenever you still have to play the card at full cost it is not a problem. If you can win or lose off the back of playing a random minion, then that minion is the problem, not Shifter Zerus.

s1ayer85 posted a message on New Card - Twilight SummonerPosted in: Card Discussionwtf with all this positive votes? even egg is a bit slowy, and this is 4 mana drop. For such price they could do do this at least 2-2 minion, so it could deal some damage, and this is actually just too slow 5/5 which will work in 2 turns for 4 mana. That can be some middle-quality rare card, but sure not an epic.

RFeynman posted a message on New Card - Twilight SummonerPosted in: Card DiscussionDeathrattles like this have some use as simply a minion that your opponent does not want to kill. I've been playing Zoo, and sometimes the Nerubian Egg is great just to sit there and add that extra body you might need for Gormok's battlecry. Or as a body that you're pretty sure will be there next turn for Power Overwhelming. Multiple people have already, of course, mentioned it as AOE protection.

SanderNightsite posted a message on New Hunter Card - Call of the WildPosted in: Card DiscussionEach animal companion costs 3 mana, not 4..
Actually each animal companion is worth 3,5 mana. A specific companion alone as a classic minion would provably cost 4 mana. Animal Comapnion as a spell costs 3 mana because of the randomness. So the true value of Call of the Wild card is around 10-12 mana because there's no randomness involved. -

Mother trucking Edwin Van Cleef. I'm a rogue player, so I wanted him. Would have preferred to get thalnos tho. He's actually the best rogue legendary.

so long as piloted shredder is in the meta, anything that relies on 4 mana is a no go

Do it. would not play a deck like this on ladder without sludge belcher. Definitely put one in. My oil rogue runs two sludgebelchers and two healbots. Would not replace them on the ladder.

This scares me. Everyone thinks it sucks, but it hurts the efficiency of your opponent. Sure they could just play it, but then they're down two mana, and two health, and if they don't their down 4 health and two mana. So the efficiency of your turns are destroyed. It wears your opponenets tempo down. The more they try to build their own tempo, you get a bit of free damage in. If they get rid of it, they loose tempo. Probably best played on curve, or with a minion in addition on a later turn (like 3 or 4). If you play it after turn 5 you could experience problems. You could even overdraw those freeze mages. Or kill them through iceblock, the possibilities are high.

Any rogue card that doesn't instantly scream trash teir is good with me. A coin is super valuable with Rogue. Like play cards above the curve, and with EVEN MORE VALUE. Its why coin SI:7 is such an amazing play. If nothing else, a super gimmiky coin rogue, with burgles and built entirely around a theme. (and sir finley mrrglton for the late game).

Interesting. The gaurdian wisdom's taunt part seems off for mage, but I'd love to see a hero power that freezes. It would be so much fun to use (also probably OP). Mage is my main class to play, so cheers to you.

holds up alright. THis is the list mine is based off of: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/273345-neviilzs-freeze-giant-echo-mage (mine is -1 echo +1 Dr. Boom)

So your saying I should shout I BELEIVE IN THE THE HEART OF THE CARDS BEFORE EACH AND EVERY DRAW? Because that's what I think this means. I'll give it a shot. (also have done this, vs. priest, I was like, Kay, next draw will be fireball, so let's set up for it. It was).

This deck isn't about going to turn 10 Its an aggro face deck. You shouldn't trade too much. Go face as much as you can. Combos are nice, but if you dont get them its not gg.

So here's why I think you're wrong. The classic set has been around for about 2 years now. Thats enough time to set the bar for every other card. People would just use the archetypes that came from them, and then edit it until its good. Naturally there are some exceptions like mech decks and patron decks and dragon decks. Everything else just stems from that card pool. Hat TGT been the first ever set of cards, this would have been the exact same conversation, but about classic.
