Vanilla (now Classic) was the best meta - all classes were relevant, and the game was generally pretty fun and interactive (tm). Will probably play Classic next season, I didn't want to miss expansion launch meta and may as well go to Legend now. I played the most in GvG though, so that's the meta I had the most fun in. Un'goro and Scholomance (in that order) were the best since.

Carfusso posted a message on What is your favorite META ever played in Hearthstone?Posted in: General DiscussionI think the time I enjoyed the meta the most has got to be some chunks of year of the raven (when I was still playing standard):
During Witchwood I really enjoyed facing cubelock (expecially post nerf, b4 that it was quite OP, but still ok....most of the time) and hadronox druid (unless they highrolled) , yes the Shudderwock infinite combo was horrible to fight but, without going infinite, the card itself was REALLY fun to play/buildaround, even though I never had much success with it in standard, I did enjoy myself. (yes Ik quest rogue has been a thing for some time but I was low rank enough that it wasn't THAT big of a problem)
In Boomsday many toxic bs cards like Mecha'thun or enablers for said degenerate cards/decks were added and druid had 37 different horrifingly toxic decks that's true but they also added stuff like the "control warrior package" with Supercollider, Omega Assembly and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius to make up for it, also that's the timeframe when deathrattle/DKRexxar hunter (my personal favourite deck to play against) actually took off.
Rashtakan is probably the time I enjoyed most of all out of these: they nerfed a lot of the bs decks AND they added a little bit of support for some more fun decks, I could play elemental shaman/mage as great value decks, quest priest and a "slower" version of quest warrior were my favourite "exaust the opponent" kind of decks. Also did I mentioned that I enjoyed facing DKRexxar? I can't quite remember if I ever expressed that feeling on this site.

og0 posted a message on What is your personal dream regarding Hearthstone?Posted in: General DiscussionMore modes of play - those for hardcore serious guys, casuals, and fun.
I think the recent dual class arena would have proved more fun than the design expected and shows what difference a change makes.
I'd also like to see a mode where you can ban a class (you can't play it either) if you need a rest from a meta leader class, and perhaps one where total deck cost cannot be more than 30% (or whatever) of yours.
Perhaps random brawl of the day mode given that so many have been created now.
Maybe less fun or downsides I've not considered but different things to do sounds good.

Takeno_Katana posted a message on [LEGEND] top #50 Giants HunterPosted in: [LEGEND] top #50 Giants HunterWell the Deck is from Tempostorm indeed. I played it, but I wasn't happy with it against Paladin, Priests or hyper aggressive Decks. So I tried a different approach which suits me better at actual Metagame (Rank 6).
- 1 Call of the Wild (2 is to much IMO, 1 can be a life saver in much situations)
- 1 Molten Core Giant (Against Control you are often not -5 life on T-5
- 1 Loatheb (You want to protect your giants on T6 against Priest, which is only possible if you have coin T4, Naga and enough Giants in hand).
- 1 Bright Eyed Scout (1 is ok because to much I drew Tracking or other stuff with < 5 Mana Cost).
+ 2 Mad Scientist (Another early drop against aggro and allows crazy plays combined with Freezing Trap)
+ 2 Freezing Trap (Steals ALOT of Tempo from Opponent and can save your plays or even life when bouncing something important).
But like the author said, it's pure highroll RNG Deck but the most consistent one among the different classes e.g. Warlock or Druid because of the soft tutors with Tracking, Stitched and the elephant thingy:)Just my two cents

Posted in: Wild FormatEvery person who advertises Wild at the current moment that I see always mentions the fact that it's currently being dominated by Highlander Priest. Wild has a ladder, so you should expect to see competitive level decks, should you not? But, the fact remains that Wild is always going to be the better format for diversity between itself and Standard, even if that diversity is hidden you.
Wild better supports every class and archetype, no questions asked, and that is part of the appeal of Wild. It allows you to play the best version of decks. Therefore, Wild also contains the highest level decks. If you took Legend players out of Wild, and stuck them with their Wild decks into Standard, it's fair to say that they would skyrocket to the top of the ladder, easily taking the top of Legend.
If we took a look at the Legend Wild players, I am sure we would see a more diverse pool of decks than we would looking between 1-5 or 5-10. The most skilled players know the ins and outs of every deck, and this allows them to try different decks, and allows them to not worry about losing Rank.
I have more I want to add, but I must be leaving for work, so I cannot say more. I will try to add more after I get off, if I remember, but I think I've made enough of my point.

Playing Hearthstone since the release and I skipped every control - late game META. Its all about personal taste.

I stopped reading there cause I see no reason to get tired of aggro matchups. Games end fast and all you need is a winratio >50%. I am tired of decks that games last more than 7 minutes. Thank you

Can we remove that shitty card from the game?
Reno my ass

Was trying the odd rogue deck with EVIL Miscreant but after hit Diamond 5, the winratio was like 50% or worse. Then just replaced EVIL Miscreant with Glacial Shard. Since meta has not many taunts, it's almost a free win. Glacial Shard is really good to get the tempo on your side against other aggro decks. I just had 3 defeats before go Legend.

I won a game against double played Reno. Yeah you are right, there is no easy way to legend, you need a good deck, you need skills and some luck. In the end of the day odd rogue will win most of the games against reno decks. Just don't stop trying.

Thank you Odd Rogue
Long live the Glacial Shard !!!

Appreciate the feedback, thanks dude
I have tried several giants hunter alternatives myself. I agree with you that when you need to get Giants and Naga in your hand you dont need other minions in deck but for some reason this version works better, at least for me. Doomsayer is a life saver against aggro and cant stop your opponent in mirror games so you play the combo first. Loatheb and Call Of The Wild is somehow the finisher the next turn after playing Naga+ Giants. Usually when have coin and play naga turn 4 you dont have enough giants to finish your opponet at turn 5. So you play Loatheb to secure your board from Lightbomb and kill Priest next turn or you play call of the wild (5 cost) to get the extra damage you need and instant kill opponent.
If you have any specific version of the deck that works better please share it ;)
