Lady in White is actually getting a good amount of support. I will be running 2 copies of Stampeding Kodo, Batterhead, and Mossy Horror. I heard this expansion features a bunch of treants, imps, and Lackeys. Along with the new removal spells and 3 OP expansions leaving, she might have a place in the meta as something better than a win-more card.
There have always been plenty of good targets for Lady in White. The problem is that you can't build a deck around a single legendary. She's fine as a secondary condition, but what then is the primary win condition? All the other good priest decks don't have room for a Lady in White package.
Well, you can try with every class, but Warrior, Mage, and Priest don't have any token synergies like Paladin, Shaman, Warlock and Druid.
Mage has a ton of card draw right now. Book of Specters, Stargazer Luna, Aluneth, Archmage Arugal. With all that card draw, you would think zoo mage would be a thing. But there's just no class synergy for it. You fall back on neutrals with token synergy, but real token decks have those neutrals plus powerful token minions/spells.
The problem wwith The Darkness isn't the inability to activate it. The problem is a) short term loss of tempo and value when played and b) they can see it coming from a mile away, and will plan accordingly.
Yeah, single huge minions aren't such a threat anymore (see Galvadon and Lynessa). Good decks now have ways of repeatedly filling the board with huge minions.
Anyway, I ran the Darkness in taunt warrior for a year. It was fun. I definitely won and lost games by including it. I tried it in a shuffle rogue with all the other shuffle mechanics, but I just couldn't stay alive long enough for it to pay off.
Turn three vs Warrior: better to play dragonslayer into empty board, or better to leave board empty in order to use dragonslayer against one of the many dragons I am about to face?
Why not just accept that Genn and Baku are in the game and will stay in Standard until they are Rotated?
As obvious a mistake as they are, Blizzard won't backtrack now. It's not just a Card they are Nerfing, it's entire Archetypes.
True, they aren't going away (sigh). But maybe little nerfs would help? Just decreased stats or increased mana? That's how OP cards are traditionally nerfed. It's been made clear that for certain classes the downside of going all even/odd is way more than offset by the upside of the hero power.
Nerfs to legendaries are very rare though. I assume this is due to the economic costs involved. It's better financially to nerf a classic card that is tangentially related to the problem.
It might be fun to try with Rogue. You could double the Oakheart battlecry and pull a lot of minions. I guess you can't reload, though. Decks have to be ridiculous nowadays.

Any way to use Zentimo and Windfury with this?

I guess Lab Recruiter and this act as three Zola's? With the shark/battlecries/combos, it's nice to get things back in your hand. Pretty slow, though.

I guess Dire Frenzy targets just beasts, so it's relatively safe in a beast hunter.

Zentimo , any other minion, this, and Earthen Might is +12/12.

Nothing about what makes this game great would be diminished with a slightly lower turn time.

I don't need any more hero cards. These haven't really been good for the game.
If they want a new hero card, I hope they can balance it like Jaraxxus, where you have to think hard about when to play it.

I'm not sure that's really a problem. At least 50% of nerfs in this game kill the target card. That's really the point.

You can't have Blightnozzle Crawler without Sonya Shadowdancer! One of the most fun board clears of all time!

Quick meta scenario question:
Turn three vs Warrior: better to play dragonslayer into empty board, or better to leave board empty in order to use dragonslayer against one of the many dragons I am about to face?

Yes, but it does make them worse. Win rates for those decks would necessarily drop by some amount.
