Quote from unrealdustin »Quote from Mordred1108 »Quote from unrealdustin »Personally I would rather see new cards come out before older ones get nerfed. Hunter has already seen a ton of nerfs in its short life span (buzzards is on its second nerf, amongst others). It's just sad to see my main and favorite class constantly nerfed when all we've gotten are Naxx cards and haven't seen any large expansions.
it had to be done, the way the cards were before was insane, and its still currently OP, to think its not is just unfathomable honestly...
One in every 10 think this and i still laugh every time, cards need balanced and coming out with new ones won't change the fact that 5 mana draw 2+ and get a board presence isn't OP...Miracle rogue can do the same thing , but with a 4/4 body and a possible 5+ dmg. How is that anymore OP than hunter? Just because a class is budget efficient and popular does not make it OP, it's the opponents fault for not knowing how to play around widely known combos. And thinking that adding new cards won't effect previous decks is ridiculous. Look at how well sludge belcher and loatheb stops huntard in its tracks. Unstable ghoul is amazing in control decks vs. low rush aggro.
But that's besides the point. HT is still in its baby phase of design, with only one major expansion and many possible changes to come in the future. Instead of balancing the game through buffs and nerfs they should be focusing on releasing a more diverse meta through cards and new mechanics (more secrets for classes + neutral counters). Targeting certain classes is going to make a good player base upset (usually cheaper decks like zoo geared for new players).
We can sit here and debate the reasons why the hunter as a class is fundamentally flawed. the number 1 issue as pointed out by certain pros and which ive been saying all along is the hunter's hero power. classes that no ability to efficiently heal are helpless to hunter once they drop below a threshold life range. you can play around combos, and try to "control" the board all you want but it doesnt matter if youre getting punished for 2 life a turn no matter what. basically as a player you're forced into putting pressure on hunters which you immediately get punished by the combo.
None of the cards you listed really STOP a hunter in its tracks. decks that run those cards that are literally designed solely to beat hunter still only have a 50% win rate... That's not balance. Imagine paper rock scissors, where paper beats scissors 50% of the time.
This isn't blizzard abusing their right to nerf cards at will, this blizzard acknowledging a wrong in the checks and balances of the meta and this a correction that needs to be made. This is a perfect example of why digital card games will always have a leg up over their paper cousin. If this continues to frequently happen then yes it is a problem but like you said they are still in the infancy of design, these are necessary changes.
The power level of hunters really suffocated certain classes into obscurity. Most people are that hunter apologist really come off selfish because they dont want to change even if it comes at the expense of other people not being able to competitively play their favorite classes.

i think for final push hunter is too unreliable, it is the best class right now but 80% of the decks ahd tecked cards in order to beat them, i think decks like shaman, druid miracle or handlock can bring better results specially because the meta is less prepared against them. you got one week your choice but using the deck of the flavor of the month does not look to me a wise way.
Ps: also mastering hunter is something more difficult that people think , because thanks to having less decision (max 0-4 a game) make the wrong one is more decisive ( for a controlw arior of his 15+ decisions he makes a games he can be wrong easily 3-4 times and still win) if you think you have mastered it continue hunter.... but if you are stuck in a rank maybe you have not
9
and a fire elemental for 3 and an azure drake for 2 and an alakir for 5!!! but yep far sight as you see is in all the shaman competitive decks!

i would buy 120-160 packs + i got gold for 25 more +i have 11k dust sitting and waiting... so i hope to get all the cards i need if not i would craft the golden legendaries /epic i think are needed (got too much used to only play golden decks...)

this season i have been quite out of ranked (only rank 6 with very few games played) but i used this seasons and other gorewhol and is amazing against unusual matches but that are counters to control warior, like shaman or paladin control. or even against the more common priest and druid. i know against the aggro deck (specially hunter) is a dead card, but like that a lot of other tech cards, (the usfullness of armosmith against control priest!!! xd)

see savjz game in the finallas of seatstory cup 2, he nearly loss the match, wining by uqite litle becqause he used prep for drawing instead of keeping for malygos damage.
1
personally i tend to keep one prep for malygos even if i have auctionner ( unless i need a critical card or see sooner lethal). in most of the games i saved it.
why it is good : great amount of burst , can clean board if helped by a prep.
but malygos is not like leeroy in miracle before, where you neeeded it in order to kill your oponent, malygos is just a plan b. what by turn 9-10 you still did not draw enough to kill your oponent with spells and minions? ok here we have a dragon to take you back in the game or otk your oponent.
also if you played cautiousely your oponent does not know what rogue variant you are playing so in more than one case auctioneer, azure drake, van cleef , and sometimes smaller minons have baited a lot of hard removals, because my oponent fear cold blod burst.

So far from more than a year experience playng hearstone arena, i wanted to check if others feal like me : getting a leggendary in an arena run is a liability.
why i think so?
- normally most elgendaries are high costed so they disturb our curb.
-most of them are very situational, a black night or harrison jones could be uselless sometimesor win you games.
-theyre value si quite slime, in a lot of cases i would prefer an ogre over illidan, cairne and sometimes even sylvanas.
- you rely on them too much to take you back making underperforming plays sometimes.
So far my runs with legendaries had been quite mediocre (6-9) ( except a 12-0 hunter i had with rag... but i think the 4 animal companios made most of the work) for most of them compared to 0 legendaries decks, that normally where more consistent.(5-12)
When i even get 2 legendaries the arena goes very bad (4-7).

if it is real it is quite strange... so i ¨kill¨ one of my own minions (without procing deathrattle), in order to be able to resummon him later with the risk of a random silence to just kill it being the slience alone a 1 for 2.

hoping for two.... and hope people are not so dumb voting like last time.... come on shaman spell!!!

you can use frapps to record your games and then see them. i do it for myself, with the trial version you got enough time for most games.
