Nah, rush should have been introduced in the game a long time ago, echo is the creative mechanic here.

Don't underestimate lifesteal on a neutral minion. Control decks in classes without much control can definitely use it, it also is the best neutral lifesteal activator of the 4 mana 3/3 to date.

I don't expect this to elevate something like control hunter, but it could be one more piece of the puzzle.

posted a message on If you could buff 1 card from each class, which cards would you buff?

    Druid: Webweave, spiders become 1/3

    Hunter: Dinomancy, 1 mana

Mage: Can't argue with glacial mysteries, this thing screws me over so much when I get it from emerald spellstone. Low cost spells are unfortunate, but this thing takes up precious hand space as well when I get it. To be different though, I'll say ice walker, make it a 2/3. Deck of Wonders could probably draw a card as well.

Paladin: Make chillblade champion a 3/3

Priest: No clue, I'd probably go with 5/6 for benedictus, don't want to change things too quickly, and priest is a class that has tools to outlast already.

Rogue: Make Spectral Pillager a 6/6, or at least a 5/6

Shaman: Give Primal Talisman a card draw

    Warlock: Treachery becomes 2 mana

Warrior: Death reneverant becomes a 4/4

posted a message on In all of Hearthstone which deck did you most hate? And confession time, which "Hated" deck did you play the most?

Quest rogue is probably the deck I've hated the most, jade druid as a close second. Just, quest rogue is so... boring. Un'goro after the nerf was an amazing meta. Jade druid is also pretty bad, I hate that deck.

I generally haven't had the dust to craft meta decks, so instead, I boldly proclaim that I hate meta decks and feel morally superior while losing all my games.

I will say though, I really like playing against control warlock. Win or lose, its usually a really fun game playing against it.

posted a message on Is no one experimenting anymore?

I feel your frustration, I share it as well. Unfortunately, we can't stop people from playing what they want to play, we just need to try to find the right decks to beat these meta decks. One advantage experimenters have is that we can adapt to the meta and try to play a deck that counters the decks we're facing. Can we do it fast enough? Probably not, we're facing a meta that's developed over millions of test games, and we don't have enough processing power to figure out how to design our own deck to beat it fast enough. Still, we can have fun.

More cards like curious glimmeroot would be appreciated though. I always feel a sense of accomplishment when an opposing priest guesses wrong, that happens probably more than half the time when I play my Aluneth/Medivh/Rummaging Kobold/Deck of wonders/Togwaggle deck. The deck is terrible, but its definitely the most fun I've had in hearthstone in a while. There's nothing quite like beating down a control warlock with dead mans hand, upgrading your aluneth, discounting your hand with leyline manipulator, drawing six cards from your opponents deck with togwaggle, then winning with a couple of late game fireballs.

posted a message on New Neutral Minion - Feral Gibberer

I tried to design a paladin deck around this guy, and it turned out to be the weakest card in the deck. There's just not really any matchups where this guy is consistently better than firefly. Its unfortunate, because I was hoping he was usable, but he's pretty bad. He is really fun when you do get him to work though, and the sounds he makes is adorable.

posted a message on Wacky Waxy Winter's Veil | Deck Builders Brawl | Building a deck with every class!

I feel like druid is just ridiculously op this brawl. Mark of the Lotus and Power of the Wild are just insane cards, sea giant as well. I've been running a deck that tops out at evolving spores, runs five 0 drops (would be six but I only have one wisp), a bunch of 1 drops, and some spells. Turn 1 evolve outvalues it in the long run, but only if they can survive to turn 4.

    Its been hilarious fun.

posted a message on What hearthstone does right

The interface in game is great. Its really easy to understand what you can do and what's going on in the game, just by looking at it, to the point where people watching the game can figure out what's happening pretty easily. Its a very easy to pick up for the first time, while the depth in deckbuilding would feel a lot more complex if we didn't have a million different people testing decks and keeping track of which decks win more.

Trying to create your own deck from scratch that works well enough to be competitive is actually pretty challenging, despite hs being easy to pick up and learn.

I wish to have this as my free weapon, then build around it ,then play for awhile, then stop once I draw a bunch of bestial wraths that i cant use because I HAVE NO MINIONS in my deck!!!!

Hunter has a ton of secrets and spells that summon you beasts, so that's not actually a terrible card to get from this. I think this card is actually insane value, the issue will be trying to live long enough to play it without dying.

posted a message on Kobolds & Catacombs: Girls' Night Out

Fascinating thread. This topic really brings out strong opinions in people.

I feel like Hearthstone has had a good amount of representation of both male and female characters, as it should, but I could be wrong, I haven't done a specific study on it or anything. My opinion on it is that having gender representation is good, having a variety of women in powerful roles is great, and games in the past have sometimes not done this very well. In the end, though, the important thing is having good characters, because I think most gamers won't actually care if your character is male or female, just that its well done. Most of the time this is done by dialogue and personality, here its basically by art design and voice acting, but yeah, I think hearthstone is doing it pretty well, and its nice.

Combo! Blazecaller, kalimos, servant of kalimos, all have some pretty good battlecries you'd want to play this with. The only question is whether you will die before you can get the combo off, which I imagine will be pretty common.

Hmm... Blizzard has a plan for this one. Its probably a plan that won't work, but lets see what the rest of the expansion has to offer.

Issue is that its still not super powerful even in the best case scenario.

posted a message on New Neutral Minion - Void Ripper

Interesting tech card against shaman totems (battlecry: instakill a mana tide totem/flametounge totem), also a demon, so if you can survive a 3 mana 3/3, it could be all right with bloodreaver guldan. Also could maybe hit some sort of crazy one hit kill moments with voidlord or something.

Building a deck around it will be challenging, though, because a 3 mana 3/3 isn't very good. Will be interesting to see what people can do with it.

posted a message on Most overrated card so far and why it's Duskbreaker

If it were printed in a different meta, it would have made dragon priest insane, but if there's a control meta, the card is good but not great. It completely destroys aggro, the question is how often aggro will be played.
