I had to grind through nearly the end of the Karazhan adventure to unlock Netherspite Historian, but she really does give the deck the late game it needs to contend with higher tier decks. I took out the 2x Novice Engineer and replaced her with Youthful Brewmaster. Turn-One Coin to power out Netherspite Historian into Turn-Two Youthful Brewmaster for a second go with Netherspite Historian to Discover a possibly more relevant dragon later in the game is pure gas! Not to mention the additional triggers Youthful Brewmaster can offer with our other Battlecry minions. And there's always the subtle combo of stealing a minion with Potion of Madness and returning it to OUR hand! As you might tell, I'm enjoying this deck the more games I jam with it and finding a few slots that can be tweaked to one's own imagination. The last tweak I found myself making was taking out 1x Drakonid Operative for 1x Book Wyrm due to the low impact I was able to get in a single turn when playing Drakonid Operative.
Let's continue the conversation on this budget-friendly yet competitive brew!
Temporus ends up being one of the three Discover options off of Netherspite Historian nearly 3/4 times. The one game I Discovered Temporus, and actually played him, my opponent very nearly swung the game back around. That said, it always makes for an exciting conclusion, and isn't that why we play this game in the first place?!
