>>Elise Starseeker: Her apparent Hero Power seems to have to do with Discovering a minion after upgrading your Tavern Tier. This kind of power is definitely interesting because it would allow for you to still gain minions on turns you spend your gold upgrading, which is otherwise hard to do. A fun twist!
maybe I misunderstood the map, but it costs 3, it is not free, right ?
how good will be tier 0 minions ? we start at 1
everybody comments refer to this card like reward for getting 3 minions of a kind in BG, but it doesnt seem to be the case. Not free and not from a tier higher than your current one
Like any other daily quest, you can get it many times.
What happens nowadays, is that all quests that offer more than 50 gold as reward are very rare, we have so many of them.
additional info to buffaloblack response: the player who has the quest needs to be the one challenging his friend, if he is challenged by some friend, his quest wont complete. So, if both players have the quest, only the challenger's quest will complete, and both players will receive 80 gold, not 160.
I don't understand. How dreadsteed can be multiplied?
baron rivendare
and keltuzad, dreadsteed comes back because own deathrattle and keltuzad brings another back because it died in the same turn (actually, it can bring more than 1, lets say you have 1 dreadsteed on board, you play keltuzad, trade dreadsteed with some minion, deathrattle brings dreadsteed back, then you play sacrifial pact, it kills the dreadsteed and heals you. at the end of turn, keltuzad will bring 2 more dreadsteeds, you will have 3 in total)
and faceless manipulator, but not as good, I would faceless keltuzad instead :)
Yes.. You can't play Dreadsteed against a priest or a druid.
I can get why not priest, but why not druid? And anyway if you don't play the steed the priest will Thoughtsteal it and play on his own.
Had a chance in the last brawl to play a Dreadsteed. I'm officially hooked, the return animation is just so great. And yes, it overperforms my expectations.
maybe because every druid runs a Keeper of the Grove that can eat your little horse
but I wouldnt go that far and say you cant play it. sure you can play against priest, it is just a 1/1 for the opponent as it was just a 1/1 for you :)
I agree that it is very bad against Keeper of the grove, it will slow you down a lot, but druids are slow too and you baited a silence early.
You need to think about how often silencing a weapon as opposed to destroying it would actually save you. Yes it could happen but realistically, how often? Just like getting a sneeds out of a sneeds, out of a sneeds.......
The demon killing card your referring to is a weak tech choice, that said it could find a place in warlock decks. A weapon silencing card would be even more situational, therefore even weaker. Would that card find a niche roll in weapon decks? If ogre warmaul becomes a thing.....
The replacement for harrison is ooze.
I already wrote this, but sure, I agree that a silence weapon effect would be more effective after we get more weapons with drawback, like ogre warmaul, and the silence card can be a class card, only the specialists can work with it
If this type of thing happened where you could silence weapons we could have some cool Gorehowl interactions. They silence it and it only has one charge left. However it has a downside in that it once again has 7 attack. If you're the player who plays the silence on the weapon the attack doesn't regenerate(kinda like how your silence, silences the damage dealt to the minion but your silence on your minion just silences it and does nothing for the damage that has been dealt to it).
This makes no sense. Silence does nothing for damage on a minion regardless of who plays the silence. Some exceptions can apply in circumstances where a buff boosts minion HP, but even then only if the current buffed health is higher than the minions silenced max health. And again, it would be strictly better to destroy an enemy Gorehowl than to silence it anyways.
usually destroying the weapon is better, but silence can have its use
you guys are comparing hard removal with silence effect
sometimes, you dont want to kill a leper gnome, because that 2 damage deathrattle will kill you, it desnt matter the size of your taunts, in this very particular case silence is better
In your situation, silence isnt going to save you if your on 2 health, its just going to delay the loss (most of the time). Here is the problem: would you want a card that silences weapons vs a mage? Warlock? Priest? Druid? Even vs a paladin or rogue you would rather silence the weapon than destroy it? Vs a warrior, would you silence a fiery war axe or gorehowl? Or straight up destroy it? Even shaman, would you silence doomhammer or get it off the board?
Now lets get to the so-so scenarios: how often do warriors play grim patrons after the first swing of deaths bite? You have a full turn to react. Do you silence it before the grim flood? Or just remove it? Shamans powermace, clear any mechs then ooze/harrison, or just silence it?
I am sorry but i just dont see the need for such a card. Even in a rare scenario where you would find limited value, would it warrant a card slot vs the other decks where its a dead card all game? Or just take weapon removal?
the silence could save you for a turn, and that maybe be enough, probably not.
I lost games when the opponent stabilized at low health, and I didnt had enough burst, to go through a small taunt and kill him
I am not saying it is a must have effect, it is just a cool option.
maybe you have removal when you need, maybe you dont, silence may be an option or a compromise.
we have similar spells for minions, destroy vs silence, why not for weapons? just an option.
it wont work against plain weapons, like silence effect does nothing to plain minions or minions with battlecry, so what?
the card could be bad just like any restrictive card we have today, like the new TGT card that only silences demons
or it can be an option, when you dont have a legendary (harrison) in your collection.

try upgrade instead captain, same effect but dont have nice body
ashmore is for draw cards, try battle rage, again no body,
the the fact that replacements are cheaper might be good for tempo, so you may need to play faster
legendaries are good for a slow, control style
hope it helps

it misses potential to break the game. you would have to put a lot less 1 mana minions in your deck.

it is way better in arena then the old brewmasters
you rarely want to pull something back
a brewmaster can be a dead card, you if are even with your opponent, you can lose the game if you pull something back
and if you do need to pull something back, this can be comboed easily, it is cheap enough
0
maybe if there is such a deck, you want to play cards over and over again
maybe the Jade deck is like that, to use the battle cry to summon many jade golems
rogue has a spell for that, and there are the brewmasters + this one now, more options

hm, I wouldnt call that a dream ;)

I would bet they cost 1
2 mana ofr 1/1 ? too much
and if they cost 4, a 5 mana 2 card combo with evolve to summon 4 5 mana minions ? also too much
shaman dont need that much love in the current meta

Not sure if this is intended,
but for example:
I own golden prophet velen. and when I filtered 'cards I dont own', prophet velen shows up as a missing card

you probably dont need the new murlocs
I think if you own all murlocs available in classic, the old murk eye will appear in your collection
