    posted a message on "Beginner's" ladder from 25-21 ???

I must have been wrong, as I had a friend new to the game and told him it would be easy in the beginning, but is struggling to win in the very first ranks of 25, 24, etc.

I was under the impression that you can't lose stars in the ranks of 25-21, but yet there are these crazy meta decks at rank 24, 23, 22, etc.  How are those guys able to farm the lowbie ranks if even conceding can't bounce them lower?

Just confused how this is being exploited.

Agree that this deck is great!  winning vs all agro pirates (unless they get god draw and we get crap starting hand).

Losing to jade druids, so took out -1 ooze, and added +1 bloodlust - got a few wins on druid now and other matchups still same.

This deck is great!  I've been going back and forth with my version, which runs some of the Jade package, but still all the big taunts.

Games where you get 3-6 Storm Guardians are epic!

I personally love dirty rat. In a matchup as renolock vs renomage I was able to pull out my opponents Kazakus and felt like it was my game from there on. Until my opponent pulled out my Reno Jackson with his own dirty rat like 4 turns later!

cards like these make the game stay exciting even when you can guess 90% of the cards in your opponents deck.

Other times it is a fantastic combo with cards like brawl to get some extra value out of them.

Yes, had a similar game.  Reno mirror - he pulled out my Reno, and later I got his Leeroy.
It was epic and went to fatigue.  More cards like this would be cool.
I recall being salty about this at first, but now being on both sides of the Dirty Dirty, it's a good card!

Let's see...  Magic The Gathering CCG have been around for more than 20 years. A game where you can discard (not put into play) cards from your opponent's hand, and a game where you can destroy an opponents ressources (mana crystals)..  So 20+ years of succes is dumb game mechanics?

     Well said.
I originally hated Dirty Rat, but have also been on the winning side of it.  Sure, it sucks that now we have cards that do this and it's a new HS mechanic (aside from Deathlord, which had similar effect), but just play around it.  Expect it from Reno decks and mulligan accordingly.  Put Brann-Dirty Rat-Mind Control Tech in your decks!

Fun deck, but doesn't work against jade druids or miracle rogues.

Doing ok vs aggro as it has enough answers to survive, but lacking burst to finish off druids in time...

    ideas?

posted a message on DIRTY RAT IS TOO DIRTY

Sorry but that is a terrible card, especially the whole brann-dirty rat-mc tech combo.

No skill whatsoever, pulls cards out of opponent's hand, i thought blizz didn't want cards that do this.

I'll take Yogg or whatever RNG over this POS card.

and yes, I"M SALTY on this, rightfully so.

Any more updates to counter pirates, jade druids and dragon priests?

Love this deck and i'm working on my own updates to keep using this shell in the new meta, but having a hard time finding the right sweet spot. definitely needs some better early defense for agro, but also quicker finisher(s) for jade druid & dragon priest (IMO).

posted a message on Are you having fun in the pirate warrior meta?

    haven't lost to pirates yet.

in a way, i'm thankful for the pirates as it's limiting the number of crap jade druids.  now that deck is a totally boring vanilla pile of crap waste of time to play against.

    Quote from Darge >>

Probably because it isn't a broken (Jade if you give them time) or dumb (pirate) archetype neither new (dragon priest isn't new, but it's quite different from what it used to be).

I've been playing reno mage and renolocks are a lot of fun to play against, even if you sometimes lose (just by my own stats I'm favored against them) you almost never feel that it was because bad rng, bad draw or unfair mechanics. That's something you don't get to feel too often on HS and it's great.

Well said.  I've had some epic battles with Reno Mage.  Win or lose, they have all been nail-biting fun!
One may go so far to say that's what this game is about - having fun!? o.0

Don't knock Finja! That card is actually good.

True.  Actually made a murloc pally buff deck and having tons of fun with it!  I would have preferred others, but making the most of it for sure.  Odd thing is Finja is kind of slow and most of the time doesn't even affect my games.

Agreed for the most part.  Of course the first three legendaries I opened in packs were Shaku, the Collector, Mayor Noggenfogger & Finja, the Flying Star ... so yea.
