He still has a good point. You still need to invest 50-100 games from rank 16 to 5 every month, which might be fine for high schoolers or college students, but can be rough for people with families and jobs (that have the skill but not the time). The other problem with the ladder is the overvaluation of single games (MMR related issue) at the end of the season. If you lose one game you are out of top 30. That's just silly and makes the last day of the season a huge luckfest.
I just faced 6 constructed decks in a row in Arena and went 1-3 twice. I have probably a few 1000 Arena games, but never have I seen such a stack of silly drafts and luck in a row.
Sooner or later Boom will get nerfed, so I'd go with that for now. It's also the strongest general legendary at the moment and can be play in almost all decks.
Climbing to legend is alot easier if you adapt to the meta and pick decks that work well against what you are seeing your opponent play. I'm by no means a amazing player and due to limited time I usually don't bother with anything that provides less than 60% win ratios. With the right deck it's pretty reasonable to achieve 65-70% winrate atleast till Rank 5 (gets easiers as the season progresses) and I'd say 55-60% doable from there. Right now things like Hunter, Rogue and Mage work pretty well. I'd say Rogue is the best budget option right now. It doesn't require any legendary except Loatheb.
You need to be on the same LAN (local area network). You then have to play 3 games with a another player on said LAN, while additionally one more players is present. So you need 3 people.

Making Mad Scientist a 2/1 would be a start.

Time of month (early, end of season)
Current meta
Available cardpool
Luck
Skill
all determine how hard it is to get to legend.

Ramp Combo Druid goes Arena. The early game was abysmal and almost led to a sad 2-3 result. I could, however, recover. Combo won 3 of games.

I just had an opponent drop two consecutive Malygos'es, on turn 9 and 10. It's safe to say this is one of the silliest things I've ever seen in Arena.

I think we need a more precise definition of "cute".

MC Tech is your friend.

Not sure 2x Circle of Healing is worth it if you only run 1 Blademaster and barely any minions that could profit.

Trap Hunter is also very strong vs Miracle. It has a winrate of like 70-80%. Snipe or Deadly Shot ftw.

Congrats. I started keeping the golden cards, since my collection is almost complete aswell.
