The totems one is Thunderbluff. It even has Tauren horns!

Also they announced the Thrall one separately, so we know which one that is: http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/blog/19976143/hearthstone®-december-2015-ranked-play-season-the-slammin’-shaman-12-1-2015

More Blackwing Technicians, or Dark Cultist. Or I suppose Fjola if you're into that sort of thing... Really this deck wants to curve out nicely to maintain tempo, so you need to replace it with a three drop. Luckily Priest has no shortage of them.

posted a message on LEGEND#1 GORMOK THE SMORK

That's kind of the issue with Gormok. You don't want him early game, and you certainly don't want him if you're not already winning. If it's late enough in the game to want him and you have enough board control to make him useful, you're going to win anyway. I'd almost rather just have another Quick Shot instead, because at least that always does 3 damage.

posted a message on Another One of those threads :)

If you plan on opening 50 packs, how sad would you be if you opened Boom after crafting him?

Never DE a legendary to craft another right before you plan on opening a ton of packs. The odds of you opening another gold Jaraxxus are minimal (and if you do, then it'd still be awesome!) whereas the odds of you opening a Boom right after you craft him are... much higher (happened to me with Ysera actually!).

So, don't DE him. Plus, gold Jaraxxus is freaking sweet.

posted a message on Does Hearthstone have a future as a true COMPETITIVE game?

HS is continually one of the most streamed things on twitch. They have major streamed tournaments almost every weekend. There are professionals who do nothing but play Hearthstone. Exactly how much more do they need to do before it becomes an esport?

The thing is, the game already has and is balanced around high level tournament play. That's where the esport is. Other things like adventures and tavern brawl are more casual and just fun. You want the serious challenging game? Make it to Rank 1 Legend. That's what Legend rank is there for.

Thanks for this deck! Innervate into a turn 2 Poison Seeds definitely did the trick!

Thanks so much for these GvG Naxx decks! They've all been a huge help.

With this deck, I suggest removing the Faerie Dragons and using Jeeves instead. Coldlight Oracle isn't bad either, but if you have Jeeves out for two turns, it's basically an instant win.

posted a message on Lets disscuss ladder achievements; I have some ideas, what about you?

A system like this inherently has issues. One aspect of the ladder that you may have forgotten about is the fact that you cannot lose stars if your rank is above 20. So everyone can eventually get to the cardback. In this new scenario, there would be a vicious fight for those at rank 16 to get up to rank 15, where most players would then stop. Because why would you risk getting back down to 16 and not get the cardback? I'd have no incentive to see if I could get up to rank 12, because there's only risk and no reward.

This also doesn't provide a lot of incentive for new players, in fact it provides reasons why they shouldn't play. They're not getting nearly the free stuff the people at higher ranks are, so it makes it even harder to compete. I know I personally would hate a system like this because it would feel like I'm getting left in the dust by those people who do want to regularly climb the ladder up to the single digits.

A better option would be to have the ladder be just for those who want to see their global rank, and have rewards based on simply the number of wins you earn in Casual Mode (but, of course, the matchmaking code in Casual would need to be improved.) Win 5 games in a month in Casual? You earned a cardback! Win 50? Here's a pack. I'd much rather see things tied to win numbers instead of repeatedly climbing a weird ladder system where new people are constantly put up against massively overpowered decks of people at rank 20 trying to grind golden heroes.

posted a message on Heroic Drakkisath cheese win

Not a good deck at all. The other cheese decks are much better than this one. I tried this for about a half hour to no avail. It doesn't have any ways to stall for the first couple turns if you don't have KT in your opening hand. Freeze mages get Mirror Image and Frost Nova, and Shamans get Feral Spirit. This deck... if you don't have KT turn 1, you're not going to be able to put him down turn 2 or 3.

And since you can never give him stealth the same turn you play him, the stealth really never matters.

Plus, there's no way to heal KT, so even if you do manage to get everything to the point where you have him on the board, he still dies to the second Flamestrike.

Barely won, first try. Having Mad Scientist turn 2 followed by Unleash the Hounds turn 3 was key.

posted a message on [BRM] BUDGET Heroic General Drakkisath

I would swap out Feugen and Stalagg for two Feral Spirits. If you fail to get KT in your opening hand, dropping two taunts is a great first turn in the hopes you get KT in your second or third turn. If you don't get him by then, just concede.

Oh, I'd also remove the Ancestral Healing, since you don't care about healing anything that's not KT, and you don't want to give KT himself taunt. In place, I'd put in two Stormwind Champions. Each time they die and are reborn, they effectively heal KT for 1 if he's been damaged. And if anyone else gets damaged... kill them off and let them be resummoned by KT anyway. So a Champion on the board can easily protect your KTs from the dreaded multiple Flamestrikes.
