 OMG your playing vs ZOO for crumbs sake. Of course they arent going to play around removal when you are a BIG SPELL MAGE!!! 

Their only chance to win is to SMORC you down fast. Like every other opponent. Sometimes you just dont draw removal in time. 

So whats with this "perfect play" you keep mentioning? You dont really believe your HS gameplay is perfect do you?

 Cauldron Elemental is better than Shudderwock IMO. Alot easier to finish the game with burst rather than just refill your hand with more cards from Shudderwock. This type of deck already has Value Town written all over it. It doesnt need a refill on 9. It needs to set up lethal.

 Totally! Big hand Mage is an example. Obviously I adjusted my draft as best I can for proactive minions to make up for the lack of board clears that Mage usually has.  I was just incredulous at the moment cuz I was under the assumption that Blizzard restored the appearance rateof Class cards. I guess i was wrong. Thx for your encouragement by the way.

So this was a fucking RNG run like no other. I have Hunter down 3 hlth on turn 10, with a board. He goes on to roll the perfect board clear/lifesteal/rush to get up to 10 hlth. then on 11 he manages to roll a Taunt/DS/Poisonous when I have a board with a 10/10 and a 8/8. 

This goes on for 5 turns total. It says roll a random Beast. NOT ROLL THE PERFECT ANSWER EVERY TIME YOU NEED IT.

You cannot complain about random die rolls.

 sure I can. They started a bucket system, and I think they removed it. But then I thought increased the spell offer variance in drafting. not sure. but only getting 4 offers seems wrong cuz i am a mage, and mage has tons of class cards that are spells. Blizzard are the ones who set the random die generator and could easily increase the amount of Class cards offered. 

Thats why I was so incredulous about only getting a few!

Just finished my Arena draft as Mage. I was only offered spells 4 times!! And those choices were horrendous.

I ended up with 2 Frostbolts, 1 Book of Specters, and 1 Shooting Star!!!

Why does this happen? I am a Mage for fuks sake!! I cast spells! Thats my class.

any minions you ddont have, just replace with what fels good to you. with 2 turns in a row, look to play Unbound Elly into an Overload to buff it up. Corridor Creeper for your opening hand, get it to 0 mana and play it. 

The OTK is basic. There are plenty of ways to win with Unstable Evolution into SMORC etc....  

Real easy wins....

The only cards u need Are Healing Rain, Lightwarden. Play lots of bodies to heal them up. 

You will prob win before the combo cuz of the value you get from 2 turns in a row. Flametonque Totem would be a good addition too.

I have a suspicion that it will stutter vs top tier decks cuz it runs out of gas if you dont draw your Divine Favor card. However, going face and usong Truesilver Champion and Blessing of Might helps alot.

I really appreciate your viewpoint. Its nice to hear a positive opinion about the game we all love. I too hope they tone down the power level so players are encouraged to be creative in their deck building. Its good for the game when someone can have an idea for a deck, put it together and compete with others fairly. 

Lets hope the new blood at Blizzard brings some new ideas and freshness to the game.

care to elaborate on that statement? its not a magical unicorn that causes it. maybe skill variance, starting hands, type of matchup, etc...

At its core, yes the game is kind of like you described. Thats why there are new expansion every 3 months to keep it feeling fresh. Now, its adding new mechanics and game types to keep it interesting. 

Im glad you found a way to stay relaxed and positive about the games outcome. I dont do well on a losing streak when I play the Ladder.
