I see so many people on here saying its a mistake to return to hearthstone, I think it's weird because people act like it's like returning to smoking or something it's just a video game not a life decision lol

It's a video game made by a corrupt-as-a-motherfucker and abusive corporation with a parasitic monetization model, that has like NONE of the original creators and designers even working on it anymore (or at the company) due to the rampant abuse, corruption and parasitism.

And then you see posts where folks spend $70 on a whim supporting said abusive company and parasitism, and you can't help but feel that the games industry has turned to utter shit specifically because moronic, utter braindead gamers and aficionado centers who do NOTHING to change ANYTHING, like this beautiful site, made that so, so easy.

It may not be your life, but for the thousands of employees who are regularly abused, harassed, threatened, blackmailed, and extorted by Bobby Kotick and his fucking henchmen, who are all actively enabled by moronic, braindead gamers spending $70 on a whim on their shit, lives do matter. But, as long as someone gets their shitty digital cards, then who cares right?

Congratulations for being a lovely proof of concept for NFT's, or anything else bloodsuckers might come up to become richer, and you infinitely more dumb.

Bro, calm down and take a chill pill. This thread is about a returning player seeking real advice, so he can have a good time doing so. Why so much hate on this thread about other topics? If you dont have anything good to say, dont say anything at all. Common sense and decency go along way, and are sorely needed in these dystopian times. We enough hate out there, we dont need more here.

    Peace bro.

Once again, the point is , a "Good Quest Priest"needs to be flexible to the meta, and have solid ways to cycle the quest and stay alive. YOu also have to accept that people play broken decks alot. Some days its torture playing the class. However, I personally find the satisfaction winning with a deck I made, thats not considered "a good deck" worth effort and punishment.

I find no satifaction winning with decks that I am supposed to win with. Theres no challenge in it for me. But winning with a Tier 11 home made list , getting to Diamond 5 with it and having a 62 % getting there is fine by me.

I dont usually punish myself and stay with Quest Priest for the push to Legend, as the winrate can drop to barely 53% from D5 to Legend, and that means alot of frigging time. LOL

If im facing a ton of spell mages or other spell casting classes, I might switch to somethinglike this list, which uses N'Zoth, God of the Deep and 2 copies of Circus Amalgam for another big play turn which allows Priest that precious late game extra turn of survival to find the Quest completion. This list uses taunt minions, DR minions, Hysteria and Soul Mirror to survie and cycle thru the quest.

I even went 4-2 with a meme list using Elwynn Boar and othere shennanigans....the point with Priest is you need to adapt to the pocket meta you face that day/week/month and try to adjust accordingly. Your still gonna lose to most games vs OTK<and when you face a ton of them, you tech for those matchups...adding Mutanus or Mindrender Illucia for example. Or a second copy of Rustrot Viper if all you face is weapon Rogue.

Control Priest/Quest Priest can tech a few cards to beat class, which weakens against others, and still come out on top when played correctly and not experiencing bad luck.

Baiting out cards, allowing face dmg thru to remove later on, all these need to be considered.

All that being said, sometimes it just sux playing the Class, but im one of those stubborn deck builders who keeps trying.

Heres that meme list from the other day that went 4-2 ### %% Mr.Ballen (v1.0)

I like to use Quest Priest lists, which favor minions over spells. I have varying success, the most recent deck has a solid 62% winrate. I change my deck building based on the meta i face. Heres the list I mentioned. ### %% rogues ? (v1.0)

I think that would be awesome, but I highly doubt it will happen.

I know, its probably too strong in a control deck because of all the discover cards available.....I sure wish though.

Seek Guidance, Priests Quest card, is my favorite card and as a home brew deck builder, I find it very frustrating I cant build a Shadow Priest with the Quest!!

I would like to see Blizzard change the card from no nametag to a Shadow spell nametag for the final year of its Standard Rotation.

    Quote from TheArcanist236 >>

You are a class different than Rogue. You are drawing Rogue cards. Since you are a different class, these are cards from other class. And since you're drawing them, you're adding cards from a different class to your hand. That's why the Gnoll gets discounted.

     Thank you for clarifying.

heres a few games where they get to play a 0 mana Wildpaw.......http://hsreplay.net/replay/vwjhGqpj5DukAXV5txQ8pM and this game he only added 1 card from another class yet played a 0 mana Wildpaw>!

http://hsreplay.net/replay/e3P6bNXZJ8peHHy6qChLRW with this game, he added 2 mage cards to his hand, so shouldnt the Wilpaw cost 3 mana?

Wildpaw Gnoll gets played for 1 mana all the time, yet they only played a single copy of Swashburglar!!??

Why does the card get discounted for just drawing cards? Maestra of the Masquerade lets you start as a different class, but it doesnt give you different class cards!! So how does Wildpaw Gnoll get discounted so much mana? I am confused with this mechanic.

If your a Rougue , masquerading as a different class to start, and you draw your own rouge cards, why does Wildpaw still get discounted? Its basically allows a free ) mana or 1 mana 4/5 rush on turn 2 every game!!! Unless you have bad luck with drawing Neutral cards..

Doesnt this seem like a bug? IMO, you shouldnt get a disount from drawing Rouge cards. It just seems like theres no downside, and its too easy to cheat them out for free.

Just by adding a single card to your deck?!

I would appreciate anybodys feedback to help me understand how this works, or why it does. Why is this intended and not a bug?

IN the old days of Rogue, there were other cards that had similar mechanic, but you literally had to add cards to your hand from Battlecries etc....not just by drawing cards like normal....

    Thank you,.

What rank are you playing in? I’m testing out several priest builds and I’m finding few successes and multiple failures. Looking at your deck list… it looks like it’s not going to be very successful, so I’d like to know where you are finding wins and against what decks. I would also be more than happy to give my two cents on the build.

well im in Diamond 3 atm....I was finding great success until D5., then it became a more balanced win rate. Now the list sits at a respectable 57% winrate over 30 games....I lost like 5 in a row at D5 though to the new Rouge deck going around..

the deck is well suited against board centric decks, as the Rally summoning Taunts that take 3 hits on average to get thru, gives the deck enought stall time to find the remaining pieces....it also has a couple good swing turns with Nzoth and Soul mirriro, and like I said, late game stall/heal with Rally...but then warlock happened again! LOL

Quest priest is so meta dependant i find.....sorry I missed your question and didnt respond earlier.

How often do you win with quest vs. Xyrella? What are you buffing samuro with? The quest and hero card seem to be going in opposite directions.

Shes for Quest completion, and helaing, armor, and AOE, so basically a stall/clear turn , if we didnt complete using MoÁrg. This is a control deck. I have won every game vs another Priest with this list, but I dont have like hundreds of games with it. I build decks every day accoriding to the meta im facing. I try to counter it with my own Ideas, and when they work, sometimes I wil share on here.

But the Quest and Hero work wonderfully well together actually. And being a Hero, you cant discount it accidentally from spells !! thats why you see her in multiple lists....you would be surprised how good a gain 8 armor, and heal for a bunch, plus some AOE does after they try to get thru wave after wave of taunts, and DR taunts. One more turn wins games for Control Priest! Especially Quest Priest !! Rally! is a great card and can be epic at times. So many games, Rally gives me healing, and time, which is the greatest need for a Quest Priest. It has a guaranteed win condition, if we can just find it int ime. But its done honestly, thru hard work, aniticipation and skill. I much prefer this over a broken OTK like Warlock is. Like I said, I try to counter the meta.

I also havent played this list for days. It might not be good this week.
