posted a message on Change in dust refund for nerfs

This makes some kind of sense. I think this would also make it easier to nerf common cards, which are the ones that people hoard the most (and golden ones just give you so much dust). Only counter argument I can think of, is that you'll craft these good cards early on, and then you would be likely to get copies of them. So you used dust, instead of waiting two weeks and getting them from packs, making you salty you did that.

The issue is that you would need to disenchant two cards to get the full dust value of two dust. If the procedure is then the OP's HoF procedure, then people would get a "free" card. And this would mean Blizzard would be less likely to nerf legendary cards, as they don't want to be giving free legendaries away often.

The idea is simple. It should be a way which allow Blizzard to nerf freely, but doesn't punish those who just crafted those cards. And doesn't force crafting and dusting behaviour from players which does not allow them to enjoy freely the game (ie, no legendary duplicates was huge for this). But striking that balance is hard.

posted a message on Change in dust refund for nerfs

Sure, then every time they announce nerfs, everyone crafts them, and they do a windfall of dust to all players. I guess that is why you like. But I am sure that this will means blizzard would now think harder before nerfing a card. And what Hearthstone needs is more nerfs before more dust.

More dust would just mean everyone would have access to the same broken decks, which hardly ever change because Blizzard doesn't like to nerf. I'm happy with the dust system as long as they nerf more often. And if they want to give more dust, they can find a way which does not discourage them from nerfing. So no, don't touch it.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Raza the Chained

I never played razakus. And I get tilted when I loose against it. But I think this nerf is wrong, because there was a better solution. That Raza only reduced to 0 the "current" hero power. Now a decent archetype seems completely lost.

I also understand that nerfing patches meant this nerf was 100% necessary (oddly enough, it might have also done the Corridor Creeper nerf unnecessary, but I had to craft that card so I am happy with the nerf). Still, a part of me Reno Priest does not become Tier 4 obsolete.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Corridor Creeper

People complain that it will not see any play now. And argue things like it should have been the death of friendly minions which reduce its cost. I think Blizzard is right on this one. I hated the tempo swings of 0 mana 5/5 in so many decks. With the friendly minions nerf it would have disappeared into oblivion. In this state, it actually could have a place in evolve shaman. So right nerf. It is no longer a tempo card for all, but a niche card.

This one was a decent nerf. Makes sense. 8 mana conditional 9/9 with 4/4 charge is still a great card. But just not as broken as before. The card in its current state was not as prominent in standard as before. But with the rotation and having less cards available this card would have been problematic as hell.

posted a message on Did tom60229 deserve the win?

So the whole argument revolve around what people think "deserve" means. We know that in all competitions, luck is present (ie, there are odds). And many good competitors can "deserve" that victory, as long as they won it because of their skill, and not just luck. These can be more than one competitor. At the same time, the tile of "World Champion" is for the best, most skillful person in the world. Therefore we believe the person who won it only deserves it if he is the best in the world (ie, the most skillful player).

I can have a great CV and get a job for which I am qualified for, and "deserve" that job. But if there is a more qualified candidate, but I just got the interviewer less tired, and hit it off better, some people may argue I did not "deserve" that job, that only the most qualified person deserved it. Depending on your interpretation of that, you have the answer to OP's question.

Personally, I believe that the one who wins the final deserves it the most,

posted a message on Legendary Tier List & Crafting Guide

Whenever you feel "I need this legendary" or "I need these 4 epics", and need the dust. DUST it and craft it. Meanwhile keep it to avoid further Alakir. It is more useful as a blocker in your collection than as a dust number. But it is more useful as a card you play in your decks, that a blocker in your collection. Act accordingly!

posted a message on Why do people think aggro is easy or scummy?

You have this really cool idea. You prepare a deck, with a couple of cool powerful combos, that require you to have a greedy deck. But you are excited about it. It is such a COOL idea! GO into ladder. Guy comes up, he plays aggro. Do 5 turns, and he beats you. Did non of the cool combos, or anything else, but just get attacked face. Obviously you do not feel any love for your opponent.

People hate Aggro, because it doesn't let other people do anything of what they want. Either play also aggro against them. Or just play defense. Even when you control the board enough so you don't get killed by them, they are more likely to concede before you get to do your game plan. And that is why people hate aggro. Its a game plan imposed by one player over the other.

Is it because of the new meta with which you are struggling? Or have you never reached rank 5 before, and want to get there for the first time? Depending on that people can give different advice!

posted a message on They Should do a Frozen Recipe for K&C

One of my favourite Brawls last expansion was a Frozen Recipe. It was when they made decks for each class around the archetypes they pushed in the expansion, without the broken cards and archetypes from last expansion. The meta there was good, you had 9 classes to try out, and you could play with legendaries you didn't have.

Hope they do the same with K&C soon. Don't feel like playing ladder any longer this season, and with that brawl at least I can have some fun.

posted a message on 3 Free Kobolds Card Packs Coming in January for Daily Quest Bug

The fact that it comes through the Gift App means that the three packs can only be redeemed in one server? Shouldn't it be 3 packs for each server, as it was bugged in the three servers?
