TheArcanist236 posted a message on The state of bots in Standard is absolutely pathetic.Posted in: General DiscussionSide note, let's just this "which players are smarter, control or aggro" argument to rest, as every single one of these bots just plays aggro. A literal bot who just plays all his cards can play your deck, you're not smart or good and you've ruined the game
Garbage take. Those bots don't win with the decks they play, no matter what it is. Aggro decks are always more popular cause people like faster games, and the decks are cheaper. For some reason tho, control players feel like they're better than everyone else cause instead of 'I only play minions and hit the face' (which is a bronze strategy for aggro decks btw) they go like 'I only play removal and never hit face' (which is also a bronze strategy for control).

Gnorf posted a message on Why you should boicot TwistPosted in: Twist FormatTwist format is predatory and I won't play it until they cut in half the dust cost of non-standard cards, or give some "free rewards" to help compensate.
...
I play since beta as f2p (I am an infinite arena player) and I always been able to craft all the homebrew deck I wanted for the standard and duels format.
There's a disconnect, here. Given the latter claim, I can't imagine you'd need more rewards to play whatever you wanted in Twist. What does an infinite arena player, f2p since beta, need compensation for? What do you think Blizzard owes you?
Did you dust your collection every year? If so, the dust was your compensation. Dust is horrible value; this is a collectible card game after all. Twist is (among other things) an attempt by Blizzard to give players' card collections more value, not less.

MaximusDM posted a message on Why you should boicot TwistPosted in: Twist FormatEvery single format is a money grab
Even standard. You craft a deck that costs 15k dust ( like Tony Druid for an example ) . Next week they nerf one card (Anubrekan) and only compensate you for that card, meanwhile the entire deck is now irrelevant/out of meta.
Since they introduced these constant "balance patches" the game became a mess to sustain meta decks with no money. The only way to play hearthstone is to not care too much. Just play whatever you have, be satisfied with whatever rank you achieve and when it becomes boring ( will not take too long), you log out.
30 Minutes a day , clear quests, move on.

lv426a11 posted a message on Patch 26.2 - Known Issues & Patch Notes - Macaw Temp Banned - Heroic Tavern Brawl Coming - Bug Fixes & MorePosted in: NewsSo - am I going to have to waste data downloading a massive battlegrounds patch which I have no interest in?
Please make battlegrounds a separate app. The two games are so different I can't imagine there's any real "gameplay" justification for keeping them together. I've played about 3 games of battlegrounds and have no intention of ever playing more - why make me use my data (and time) just to update an app for a game mode I will never use...
I'm sure there are plenty of people who enjoy both, but is it such an onerous thing to have two apps?

Moonbeam-druid has been and is very much close to being viable. So much so it's even listed in the current vs-report: https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/decks/yoggbreaker-moonbeam-druid-2/.
No, it's 2023.

The game is "rigged" in the sense that it pushes everyone towards a 50% win-rate. It does not match anyone with their counter for obvious reasons already stated, but the more you win the better opponents/decks you face and vice versa. The fact this happen because you rank up or down is obviously ok, but the MMR part is nothing but a scheme to make more money.

Old freeze Mage was a "real" competitive deck. Exodia was more of a meme. No idea what the status is of these decks in the current meta. What I can say is that freeze Mage can be a very fun and "open-ended" deck to play. What is you decklist like? Malygos was not part of the traditional freeze Mage lists. Alex was part of it. Sometimes Tony, but I'd recommend leaving him out of it tbh.
Here's my list for reference:
I do by no means pretend this is the best version. In fact it's probably woefully outdated. It's close to the lists that was ran back in the heydays of freeze Mages tho :-)
As for Exodia I've only run the super-meme'y Mimiron's Head version, so I'm no help there I'm afraid :-)

Warsong Commander. Please Blizz :-D And Charge ofc. Patron and Worgen OTK is too much fun :-)
Loving 20 mana Molten Giant. Playing old Handlock in standard now :-O

This thread is the perfect example why we can't have more deck slots and other nice things.

Explosive Runes.

Loatheb, Mad Scientist + Counterspell and 0-mana fireball and Fel Reaver are good in this deck. Tony is too slow.

If you don't know WoW it can take considerably more than 5 hrs. A lot of pointless grinding for a portrait.
