I know i'm not mad or anything :P i'm just stating a fact. The deck is great if you actually play it at lower ranks tho. I tried on my other account and it was great!

Xfinity9296 posted a message on Control Elemental MagePosted in: Control Elemental MageWhile I do see Hex being annoying to Pyros, if they use Hex on Pyros they will be cut off of using Hex on a later turn. For example, if Pyros was played on 2 (assuming that they didn't Jade Claws on 2 ) they would have to play hex on curve, and from playing variants of shaman that could be terrible. Agro shaman losses a turn to play most of the time at least 2 minion and gives you a taunt, for elemental shaman 3 is VERY important due to being able to play a Tol'vir Stoneshaper on 4 for a HUGE tempo lead and cutting that off make turn for quite bad for elemental shaman, evolve shaman probably is the best deck to do this because they don't lose any value because of it at that moment, however this also means they lose an out to Medivh, the Guardian or anything he summons, Blazecaller, or even potentially another Pyros or late game elemental (off of Servant of Kalimos).
On 6 is where evolve shaman really takes a hit though, if they chose to hex you then, they can't Doppelgangster Evolve combo on curve which gives you a turn to wipe there board with Flamestrike the board they already have, gives you a chance to set up to defend whatever luck they get (probably some dumb 6/5 deathrattle summon 2 2/2s) or even establish Medivh, the Guardian to set up Flamestrike after they Evolve, which could lead you to getting a better board they have. If you haven't died to agro by turn 6 then you probably have basically already won, so keep playing defensibly and just clearing there board (AKA don't play Pyros unless it is the only play there). And elemental shaman if they Hex on 6 they can't play a elemental with a cost higher than three which can flat out turn off Blazecaller, on 7 which is HUGE.
If you haven't died to agro by 10 I don't know why they haven't conceded yet but chances are they are out of steam like 3 turns ago soooooo....... not much to be said here. Evolve shaman is defiantly the most interesting, here it comes down to 4 things, who's in control of the tempo, who has more board presence, how many outs have they used (Hex and Volcano), and if you are in topdeck mode or not. If you are in control of the tempo and they have used both hexes and maybe a Volcano would strongly consider playing Pyros, similarly if I was in control of tempo but I had seen no outs used I would NEVER play Pyros unless they where in topdeck mode, in which it depends whether you wanna take the chance of them topdecking an out. If you have more board presence then they do and you have seen no hexes (again unless they are in topdeck mode) they it is almost clear to me that they are saving it for Pyros, in which case you should wait to see if you can't bait it out (with Medivh, the Guardian or some such) and then right after play Pyros to give them the least likely chance of getting another of those said outs.
Elemental shaman most of the time will run 2 hexes and 2 volcanos dodging removal is VERY hard, however if you can bait out said removal correctly then you can be in the commanding position, because the most a elemental shaman can do to Pyros without Volcano is exactly 10 damage assuming they run the jade package ( spelldamage totem, double Jade Lightning) but that is VERY unlikely (had it happen once, feelsbadman) there it's basically do we have board control and how many outs do they have. Unlike the other matchups the topdeck game for elemental shaman is actually insanely good sometimes and really trash others, It comes down to do they have an elemental chain and how many Stonehill Defender and Servant of Kalimos have they used because shamans discovers are almost as insane as ours with spells because of there ability to dip into legendaries and 0 mana 5/5s. they could also top deck Blazecaller with no elemental chain and be screwed to Pyros. It comes down to situation, but most of the time Hex is a card that screws the shaman's turn all up due to inconvenient mana placement vs pyros and Volcano while good at the end of the day still gives us another Pyros.
These are the main situations I see with Pyros vs shaman (obviously not all of them or I'd have to make a post as long as /r/hearthstone form on whether taunt warrior is healthy for the game or not). If not for the minion Pyros can be a huge tempo breaker and bait for removal for shaman and other classes alike, and that's one of the huge reasons, other than it is 3 elementals and it's insanity in the control match-ups why you run it in this deck.

Nicholasjh posted a message on Mage's Freeze Mage - Asia-Pacific Spring Playoffs 2017Posted in: Mage's Freeze Mage - Asia-Pacific Spring Playoffs 2017The biggest difference is that tournament decks are often built weak to certain decks because you have the ability to ban. So there are deck possibilities in tournaments that may not play well in ranked, for instance if you know you can't defeat pirate warrior easily with your deck list, you just play around that by banning pirate warrior.

Xfinity9296 posted a message on Control Elemental MagePosted in: Control Elemental MageFor me at around rank 8 pyros is working very well for me due to the large amount of control evolve shamans going around, but he is in no way a requirement to play the deck. if you are seeing a lot of aggression (like pirates or agro druids) then he would be much to slow. for replacements, weapon removal is always nice to have in those match-up or if you are worried about druid a lot then running a sneaky tech of a counter spell on 5 to stop living mana will make most druids auto concede due to losing a whole turn.
Ultimately if you don't wanna craft pyros it is in NO way a requirement, I just put it in because of what I was seeing currently in the meta, (control shaman and control pally mainly) and at best he is an additional 3 elementals to use for there synergies.

iicescream posted a message on [Road to Legend] Burn MagePosted in: [Road to Legend] Burn MageEthereal Arcanist is an interesting choice. I didn't think about it but i believe it works really well with this deck since the opponent will have to remove it. Spellbender a great choice as well especially against paladin. Might not be useful against aggro decks. But instead of replacing the Kabal Courier, i might opt for Eater of Secrets becaus i really like kabal and i had saved me couple of times already (RNG God Lol).
and congrats man, you have nice stats. The deck is very solid - it's a control deck with the aggressive potential.
i've been playing for some two years as well. I'm a F2P player. What do you mean of having a serious career you mean you're having jobs right ?
btw the changes you make are good i hope it works well for you.

iicescream posted a message on [Road to Legend] Burn MagePosted in: [Road to Legend] Burn Mageyou can replace Elise the Trailblazer with Meteor. I used to play Meteor but then I faced too many Murlock Paladins and Aggro Druid so I tech for Flamestrike instead.

This .. This, my friends, is what deckbuilding should look like. Not those XY varietes of meta decks with changing one tech card.
Slowly clap to you my friend, this deck looks incredibly fun.

This deck most possibly won't work in meta with lot of tempo decks and control decks which are able to anihilate you by turn 8. You cant' expect meta to drastically change only because of new expansion. It would take a rotation or core cards nerf (Quest Rogue and Pirate Warrior cases this year).
Edit: But I love the idea of bringing good old control decks back (what w have now is machinegun by turn 8 or full boad of 6/6 to 12/12 or 10 mana by turn 6 or overvaluating Barnes mechanics).

I think current price is reasonable. Even if you did really bad, the pack and the bonus stuff is actually worth of 1.99€ (in comparsion with shop pack prices).
I don't actually get why people are whining about pricing in Hearthstone at all. It is a FREE TO PLAY game and you are not forced to spend a dime on a game. Obviously Blizzard is not a charity and no entertainment company will ever be, so if you want to play Hearthstone on higher competetive level, well, you need to open your wallet. Like in every other kind of hobby.

The most touchy moment for me was when I've built a deck for my friend from his f2p collection which brought him to higher Legend Rank than I was. I was not even mad :)

You don't always need to replace the card of same cost. What I want to say is that you should rather replace Raging Worgen than Armorsmith. Armorsmith is just too good value for this deck to not run both.

Ehm .. Hello?
Last thing I've claimed was Octoberbrawl cardback. I am paying my Prime account for 6 months already. Have had other Prime connected to the same Blizz account but I haven't use it for half a year since trial ends up there.
