Been playing hearthstone on and off for 4 years. I mostly play homebrew stuff and hang around bad ranks :)
i honestly dont see a mayor problem on this system.
2800 gold = guaranted to have 100% of this short exp
sure, if i buy 28 packs i should get a total of 140 cards, begin them at leats 28 rare and 112 commons, most of them repeated over and over and not a very good chance of a legendary or two... not to mention i wouldnt reach a half of the total cards on the exp. in this point the more cards from pack acomplish nothing except dust... also not enough to craft the rest of the exp
finally i find this better than the last adventures where we spent same gold and got nothing but a legendary and a golden pack...
(sorry for the grammar, english is not may natural languaje)
I believe it’s not 2800, it’s 2100 since the first wing is free.
Unless they changed it, going below 15 health does not work for these "play 3" quests. Below 15 works for the 80g challenge a friend quest, which is probably the reason people assume it would work the same (which it totally should)
The actual future of Tavern Brawls: They will continue to do one per week, often recycled, occasionally new. Each week there will be players who like it and players who don't, and that's OK because Team 5 has more important things to worry about.
Sadly you don't seem to have more important things to do, than to search out a part of the forum reserved for a mode you don't like, and comment on it.
200+ brawl wins per week???????????? I feel like most people play them for the free pack and then dip out.
Most people play for the pack and go back to grinding in Ranked. But there is a big community who play the constructed brawls seriously. The experience is very similar to the first week in Ranked with a new exp actually. Trying to figure out the meta, countering it and constantly adapting and teching. It can be a ton of fun :D
I just went to the first thought that popped into my mind, so this is just a rough first idea. There are plenty of hearthstone veterans who really love the creative and competative metas of the many constructed tavern brawls.
Miniature warfare, Top 3, Six shooter,Battle of the Bans, Clockwork card dealer, Hearth of the sunwell. These were all brawls that let you go wild, and i was always able to come up with homebrew decks that had a positive winrate against the 3 most popular netdecks. I love these brawls so much i usually end up with 200+ wins at the end of the week.
Sadly 70% of the tavern brawls are premade decks with a ton of rng. I understand this is because Blizzard don't want new players to have a negative experience, getting totally destroyed by a player with a big collection.
So how about you launch a choice between 2 different tavern brawls every week. One is a creative constructed brawl with wild cards. The other is premade deck. You could label one as Expert and the other as Normal. Whichever brawl you finished first, would give you that weeks pack reward, you would only get it once, like today. I have never had problems with wait times for tavern brawls, so splitting up the players would hardly be a real problem in my eyes.
This way you would keep a much larger % of your userbase happy at all times, instead of alienating half of your active players every week.
Thats just my 2 cents, what do you guys think? Would be nice to hear from both newbies and veterans.

3 Second turns sounds about right, like speed chess.

2100 gold is a fair deal.

Team 5 just confirmed that these cards were indeed the results of "Bring your kid to work day"

It's 2100 gold i believe, since the first chapter is free?

If this big spell deck ever takes off, i hope they name it "Fisting Shaman"

Good luck in Ranked.

My impression is there are 2 categories of the 60 gold quest.
1:The new ones they added where you play 3 games with any of 3 classes.
2:The rest
Rerolling a category 1 quest will always give you a 50 gold quest. Rerolling a category 2 quest can give you ANY quest.

Yes it's unhealthy, but is it deepfried snickers bar level unhealthy?

I guess my reliable source was trolling me.

I heard from a reliable source within Team 5 that Reno will be getting the Dinomancy hero power.
