    Yesterday I was experimenting with cards that pull cards directly out of your deck, basically allowing you to thin down your deck to only the cards/card you want so you can discover them every single turn guaranteed.  Only, as I mentioned in the thread I created yesterday (http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/hearthstone-general/tavern-brawl/184025-discover-glitch-in-this-weeks-brawl, read if you want a bit more detail), once a players deck size get down as low as 3, the perfect number for discovering Reno Jackson every turn, the game bugs out and freezes you while your opponent slowly smacks you down...

    The quickest and easiest way (I did consider using Captain's Parrot and a deck of pirates) to remove cards from your deck is to use Mysterious Challenger and 6 - 8 secrets as he can pull up to 5 cards out of your deck in a single go!  Today I began the slower task of pulling cards out of my opponents deck via Deathlord and after Resurrecting him a few times its quite possible to remove all minions from your opponents deck, leaving him with only spells for the rest of the game.

    This strategy becomes even more questionable against deck which have 3 or fewer spells as removing 7 minions from their deck causes their interface to bug out and freezes them permanently for the rest of the game.  The first screenshot from a game against a player playing C'Thun mage with lots of minions shows the moment after I pull the 6th and 7th minion from his deck, he should be discovering his card but notice the backs of the three cards are not visible.  The next shows 4 turns later and he still hasn't been able to play a card or even end his turn.  Alse for some reason when this bug happens minions sometimes become invisible, like that Deathlord in the middle...

    Jumped into another game to get a better screenshot as the one I provided wasn't very clear.  I was easily able to get to 3 cards in my deck as the Mysterious Challengers pull all secrets out of the deck until there are only the 3 minions left which is what cause the discover to break in the first place. 

    The first screenshot below shows the end of my turn, I have just played the second Mysterious Challenger and there are only 3 cards in my deck.  Notice I am able to attack as normal.

    The second screen shot shows the very start of my next turn, as I drew no card, am not shown any cards/the cards are invisible and unselectable, and I can't make any actions.  Trying to drag the card out of my hand has no effect.

    Hope this gives a clearer picture of what is happening.

    posted a message on Discover glitch in this weeks brawl

    I have had repeated encounters with a glitch in this weeks brawl locks you out of the ability to play of discover cards.

    I have been able to recreate the bug and it appears to happen when discover a card at the start of your turn, while there are 3 cards in your deck (see attachment).  When this happens you are given no cards to pick from, however all other actions are locked out such as the end turn button as if you were still discovering.  Also at the end of your turn (when you rope out because you can't end it yourself) the random card is added to you hand, as if you fail to select a card in time.

    In the screenshot bellow you can see I have only 3 cards in my deck, also that I have an invisible Mysterious Challenger probably because I was frantically mashing buttons as the rope was burning.

    I had experienced this bug using a different deck where i used a Fel Reaver to discard cards from my deck.  I there happened to be 3 in my deck at the start of my turn I would be stuck.

     

    Let me know if anyone else has experienced this bug, and what further action I should take.

     You do realise it is actually a bad thing to reset your pity counter?  The more packs you have opened since your last legendary the higher your chance is to get another...
    Regardless the random class legendary appears to come separately and is not from 1 of the 10 packs so I very much doubt it will reset the counter.
    edit: in case you were talking about the 10 packs and not the legendary then obviously you are right buying packs means you'll get a legendary sooner...

    Has that always been the case or was that changed with the adventure because I didn't know LoE was based on a real place...

     Maybe its just me but I find it interesting comparing hearthstone back in vanilla to hearthstone we have now and its the small things like seeing a reference to a WoW character long before even the devs knew what the card would be like that make it so cool...

    When you click on cards (especially old ones) to read their flavor texts and you spot a reference to a character in WoW that has only just been made into a card:

    Light's Justice

    Has anyone else seen the names of cards or characters mentioned before they were released in hearthstone? I'd be interested to know if there are any other examples.

    All remaining cards are announced 1 week before the first release so we should expect the slow trickle of reveals then the remaining 20 cards in a few days time.

    I don't know if you need to know if it works in game but I can confirm it is animated in the collection manager:

    edit: Now i think about it you could have tested this yourself by crafting then undoing the craft to see the full gold card, I'll check this thread later to see if you want me to try and test it in game for you...

    I was never aware the animation was bugged but then again I haven't played him for months now with the exception of the odd tavern brawl.

    posted a message on Weird herald volaj tav brawl interaction

    notice the debuff given to shadow madness-ed minions.  I believe it says something like "You control this minion this turn" rather than "Control is given back to your opponent at the end of turn" so that you cannot silence the minion to stop it returning.

    It is the same debuff that is copied by volaj so that the token looses it at the end of the turn and it follows its bigger brother back to the other side of the board.

    similarly to [card]Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound[/card] minions summoned from end of turn effects cannot trigger their own end of turn effects further limiting the the number of dragons this would be effective with.

    I definitely think there needs to be some dragon synergy in hearthstone as black rock mountain will be cycled out this year and dragons decks deserve one final push into the mainstream meta for a couple of months.  After BRM it may be years before another adventure/expansion comes out that focuses on dragons enough to replace the core cards and make them viable in standard.
